Re: KH10.5 Latest firmware version

Yes it’s the manager responsible for comms, you need 1.19 or above for the latest integration - if you get that updated you’ll have access to the new features such as force charge / discharge work modes.

Plus there are many fixes in the inverter, and maxsoc now works correctly.

Re: G8 inverter problems

The installer attended today. Winced at the voltage level. Spent no more than five minutes configuring the inverter such that it is happy at higher voltages. Now all I need is some sun! Time to chase my complaint with the DNO, who have known about this for eight months and done nothing. Hopefully t...

Ok, if it’s the V2 app from the ‘plant’ page (the picture of the house), swipe left and you will see this screen -

Re: help understanding app overview page

Hi, which app are you using, is it the V1 app (blue background) or the V2 app (black background) ? The data screen is a snapshot taken every 5 minutes so not a real time view, and when larger appliances turn on and off you sometimes see strange numbers (sampling errors) which will correct after the ...

Re: Force charge option missing

No problem, For what you are doing I would stick with the old charge periods, but if you want to find the schedules, on the foxesscloud web go to this screen and click the icon circled red. 111.jpg If it comes up with this page you are fully up to date and can set schedules 112.jpg If it doesn't it ...

Re: G8 inverter problems

Ahhh ok sorry my bad, I was thinking it was a hybrid inverter, but it’s a PV inverter (G series). 254V is high, the maximum permissible grid voltage is 253V but inverters often measure several volts higher particularly when they are nearing maximum power - if this is reported to your DNO they should...

Re: G8 inverter problems

At 8kW I assume it’s a KH8 that has been installed ? That sounds very much like it is seeing either a high grid voltage or too high a current on one of the PV strings which results in an alarm that shuts down the generation - the inverter will then go through a mandatory wait time and then perform c...

I'm afraid i've never come across any instructions for battery remote upgrade, probably best to email fox service for advice. I'd be grateful if you can post back what they say so that we'll know for next time. :)

Re: HV25 vs HV2600?

There isn’t much difference on paper anymore - the HV25 used to have a lower cycle count and depth of discharge but for the past 12 months they have been pretty much in parity, they are exactly the same physical size but the battery structure internally is different and the MIra has slightly less ca...

Re: Force charge option missing

Hi, you don't say which inverter this (H1 G2?) is or which app (or website) you are using as that will affect the answer - can you confirm those please. The original charge periods 1&2 are more than sufficient to charge your batteries on the low tariff rate - the scheduler (force charge/discharg...

Re: BMS dip switch

Hi, I have just added a third HV2600 battery to my system. Followed the instructions, checked the voltage etc. set the dip switch to 1 Before adding the voltage was around 105v, after adding it went up to around 158 so there is a circuit. On the app the system is now displaying the higher voltage B...

Re: API Key is obfuscated??

The moment you generate the key it isn't obfuscated, so you need to copy it then without changing screen or clicking on any other button - the moment you leave the screen and come back it will be obfuscated. I find it easier to use a desktop or laptop where you can see the full screen on the foxessc...

Re: How to stop exporting to the grid please

I’m not quite sure I understand the charge going to the grid, if you are generating solar power and the battery is full the solar would then be exported. I’ll start with the charge periods, if we get those set correctly we can then see if there are any problems. Using the old app you should set the ...

ok, for what it's worth be sure that your DHCP is set to disabled and I think you said you had checked the slave ID but whilst you are in the menu double check it's set to 247. Your modbus command looks correct, i'm quite surprised it doesn't respond ? Pins 3 (485B) & 4 (485A) are the correct pi...

Re: MODBUS on H1-5.0-E

A few things to look at, have you been using modbus direct over LAN?, if you have you must disable the ethernet port for the RS485 to respond. How are you sending the modbus request, using modpoll.exe ? and if so what is the command and register location you are writing to. If you are using modpoll....

Re: Fox Cloud App - Device Statistics (daily income)

The income stats for the original app are almost meaningless, rather than use your export * export rate, it uses the total yield * export rate. The total yield is all of the output the inverter has done either from solar or battery. So definitely trust your smart meter / Octopus on that one. You wou...

Re: Modbus Daily and Total reg data screwed up from 6th May.

I've seen inverter registers get corrupted following a firmware update, where it corrupts the top bits in the generation totals register, but it's usually the total yield register it happens to and this looks to be different - is this the inverters 'total' charge/discharge registers, they are 'uint3...

Do you know if this been addressed by firmware update(s) yet? I have Manager 1.70 on H1-5.0-E in the UK. Re: Error codes 26 , 27

Had this error several times this week. During the night, occupied and unoccupied, ie house load and no load. Each times it trips the consumer unit. Any ideas? . It's the consumer unit tripping that is causing the error (i.e. the grid voltage is lost), on a new install this is sometimes because the...
