HV25 vs HV2600?

Hi All,
I was wondering if anyone can advise on the differences betwee the HV25 & HV2600 batteries. It's not very clear from the datasheets what warrants the difference in price they are available for (for BMS and 4 batteries the HV25 is ~ £600 cheaper).

The datasheets all have similar stats and quotes them as same battery type (LiFePO4) so it's not obvious on the face of it but I would guess it's to do with battery life? The HV25 datasheet mentions 6000 cycles to 80% SOH but the same stat is not shown on the HV2600 datasheet (it also states 6000 cycles but the note just has '@90 DOD'.

I have had a look around for old posts on this topic but there doesn't seem difinitive answer as to one vs the other. Would anyone have the detail on this?

Thanks
Tony

There isn’t much difference on paper anymore - the HV25 used to have a lower cycle count and depth of discharge but for the past 12 months they have been pretty much in parity, they are exactly the same physical size but the battery structure internally is different and the MIra has slightly less capacity.

My preference in terms of dependability and track record would be to purchase HV2600 V1’s - these are now the same price as the V2 batteries and in my view are the (slightly) better battery.

The HV25’s are also good batteries and have a solid record so in many respects it will come down to the deal you can get - don’t forget to look at the recommended suppliers for this and mention the Foxess forum as they give discounted rates depending on the items you buy viewtopic.php?t=531

If you're on the fence get a HV2600, if you don't have batteries yet, I would personally go for the ECS cube style battery as they're the latest generation of battery.

Thak you for the replies Dave / Will.

TBH it's a cost thing at the moment. I have specific budget to fit into. The Mira batteries offer the cheapest 'per kwh' option by some margin (obvs in the end depends if they last the same amount of time / cycles as the HV2600). The ECS cubes look great but I'd get a lot less capacity for my budget unfortunately.

Don't get me wrong, the Mira25 is still a great product and you'll be very impressed with their performance.

Hey again!

Hope you are both well. I ended up going over budget and opted for an ECS cube (4300 H3). I'm doing the install now and it's not clear from the instructions but do you know if the earth cable from the battery connects to the earth connector on the side of the inverter (fox ess H1 G2). I've watch a few install videos and some people seem to have it connected there and some don't.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Tony

Yes it should be connected to the earth point on the side of the inverter.
