Re: Batteries providing barely any output and bizarre issues with Fox support
Here’s my settings. Note: the inverter still does not record the SOC in the charts too. Same old data feed issue?IMG_8219.jpeg Can you remind me which inverter model this is and what your firmware versions are - i’ll look up the latest firmware versions - the newer inverters H3 Pro, KH and H (G2) h...

Re: G8 inverter problems
Wow, I emailed Fox UK and got this answer "This is a settings issue we have now changed the setting on your inverter and it is operating as it should be now however if you have any other problems it may be worth contacting your installer as some issue we won't be able to resolve them remotely ...

Re: G8 inverter problems
I don’t think it’s the emlite meter - they are pretty dumb generation meters, there must be a meter fitted somewhere else or the inverter genuinely has a fault ?.

Re: G8 inverter problems
I’m sorry to hear you’ve been having continued problems - It sounds as if the inverter has been fitted with either a meter or CT clamp to measure the loads and it sounds as if that has a problem. If it has a CT clamp it is a small white clip on cable clamp that is usually connected at the incoming m...

Re: Bt Wi-Fi connection!
You don't want airplane mode on as that shuts down all your wireless transmissions. On your phone make sure you delete or forget your normal internet connection, then look in the wifi list for the ssid W-XXXXXXX - connect to this and the password is mtmt2020. Then follow the attached to connect your...

Re: KH10.5 Latest firmware version
Thanks Will (for this and all of the brilliant information that you provide). Do you happen to know what this new KH update brings? I upgraded my KH10 to the first version that enabled forced discharge. I then upgraded to the following edition which fixed some issues I had with force discharge. At ...

Re: Info for port back-up fox ess ac1-3.0-e
It does require some careful planning, as there are potential problems with earthing and neutral bonding when using the EPS outlet. From what you have said the €600 seems a reasonable price to me given the work, but have a read of this post as it sets out the various options https://foxesscommunity....

Re: Installer bankrupt
The easiest option is to replace your datalogger, create a new installer account and add the new datalogger serial number to it - your inverter will then show in your new installer account.

Re: KH10.5 Latest firmware version
Yes it’s the manager responsible for comms, you need 1.19 or above for the latest integration - if you get that updated you’ll have access to the new features such as force charge / discharge work modes.
Plus there are many fixes in the inverter, and maxsoc now works correctly.

Re: G8 inverter problems
The installer attended today. Winced at the voltage level. Spent no more than five minutes configuring the inverter such that it is happy at higher voltages. Now all I need is some sun! Time to chase my complaint with the DNO, who have known about this for eight months and done nothing. Hopefully t...

Ok, if it’s the V2 app from the ‘plant’ page (the picture of the house), swipe left and you will see this screen -
You can see the export total for the Day, Month or Year by changing the selection.

Re: help understanding app overview page
Hi, which app are you using, is it the V1 app (blue background) or the V2 app (black background) ? The data screen is a snapshot taken every 5 minutes so not a real time view, and when larger appliances turn on and off you sometimes see strange numbers (sampling errors) which will correct after the ...

Re: Force charge option missing
No problem, For what you are doing I would stick with the old charge periods, but if you want to find the schedules, on the foxesscloud web go to this screen and click the icon circled red. 111.jpg If it comes up with this page you are fully up to date and can set schedules 112.jpg If it doesn't it ...

Re: G8 inverter problems
Ahhh ok sorry my bad, I was thinking it was a hybrid inverter, but it’s a PV inverter (G series). 254V is high, the maximum permissible grid voltage is 253V but inverters often measure several volts higher particularly when they are nearing maximum power - if this is reported to your DNO they should...

Re: G8 inverter problems
At 8kW I assume it’s a KH8 that has been installed ? That sounds very much like it is seeing either a high grid voltage or too high a current on one of the PV strings which results in an alarm that shuts down the generation - the inverter will then go through a mandatory wait time and then perform c...

Re: HV25 vs HV2600?
There isn’t much difference on paper anymore - the HV25 used to have a lower cycle count and depth of discharge but for the past 12 months they have been pretty much in parity, they are exactly the same physical size but the battery structure internally is different and the MIra has slightly less ca...

Re: Force charge option missing
Hi, you don't say which inverter this (H1 G2?) is or which app (or website) you are using as that will affect the answer - can you confirm those please. The original charge periods 1&2 are more than sufficient to charge your batteries on the low tariff rate - the scheduler (force charge/discharg...

Hi, I have just added a third HV2600 battery to my system. Followed the instructions, checked the voltage etc. set the dip switch to 1 Before adding the voltage was around 105v, after adding it went up to around 158 so there is a circuit. On the app the system is now displaying the higher voltage B...

Re: API Key is obfuscated??
The moment you generate the key it isn't obfuscated, so you need to copy it then without changing screen or clicking on any other button - the moment you leave the screen and come back it will be obfuscated. I find it easier to use a desktop or laptop where you can see the full screen on the foxessc...
