Re: Not Acceptable Message
I’ve never heard that before, but a couple of things to check - Try logging in on the Foxesscloud.com website with the same credentials - that really should work, if it doesn’t it would appear the user account has been created correctly. If it does work, that prove their credentials are ok, so next ...

Re: Force charge and force discharge not working as expected
I'm not sure what you mean about the Force Charge and Force Discharge running together, so i'll set out what I know and hopefully that'll help. Before the schedules were introduced you would have used the old 2 charge periods, these work fine and will continue to work fine *unless* you set up a sche...

Re: Error Code 28 - 10 Minute Average Grid Voltage Fault
Your grid voltage is too high for the limit set in the 10 minute alarm setting - if you are in the UK you should be able to call your DNO and they will measure it and address it if necessary. You can adjust the alarm limit, look at the max grid voltage your inverter is reporting and set this limit t...

Re: New battery array wont power on
As a general rule, the master will power up with no slaves connected as long as the dip switches are set correctly - even if they are not you would expect it to flash an error code. You should be cabled to the inverter as per the manual DC+/- and canbus connected - and at a minimum you need to have ...

Re: Battery draining overnight
That sounds about right,
To do some quick maths if you assume 45% at midnight and 20% at 6am, then 25% of (2*2.38) = 1.19kWh for 6 hours or 198 watts per hour so you obviously have quite a low house base load (fridges, clocks, chargers etc..)

Re: Battery draining overnight
It's perfectly normal to do that, the inverter and batteries takes some power to stay operational and ready. This is taken from the DC side rather than use the grid (DC = batteries or solar during the day). The amount of power it uses depends on the inverter and the number of batteries you have but ...

Re: New WiFi provider
So a couple of things, firstly is the range of the new router as good as the old one - i've heard the BT routers range is lower than some, but I can't confirm that myself. If you stand next to the inverter with your phone is the signal strength still good ?. Secondly most modern routers transmit on ...

Re: KH-Series 10.5 hybrid inverter software/firmware
Interesting thread thanks. I'm considering buying 2 K series inverters - KH7. I'd like to store up and export too. However is regular force discharging to grid wise ( assuming its now possible)? Won't it eat into your cycles limit? The batteries will only do 6000 cycles? What is the definition of a...

Re: Adding batteries
Thanks for that Dave, really helpful to have it all in one place. No, I don't have agent access, and given there's just been a firmware update (hasn't there?) then I'll contact FoxESS to update them all. Are the dip switches just an old idea that's no longer needed? And, does turning off the AC to ...

Re: KH-Series 10.5 hybrid inverter software/firmware
I was delighted to find that my KH10.5 inverter (installed 2/4/24) had the firmware to allow forced charge and forced discharge of my batteries. The only issue I have is that whilst the forced charge runs at 10kw, the app (Android version) only allows a forced discharge of up to 6kw. This seems par...

Re: App Understanding
Your app suggests that you have very limited draw from the grid as you say - so something is wrong somewhere. Is the app displaying the other power variables such as the house load, any feed in etc.. correctly - could you post some of the graphs you see for those as well please. As you say something...

Re: Einspeisebegrenzung 10kw ?
That is unusual, as if you have an export limit set on the H3.
If you can access the menu on the inverter panel for the H3, go into Setting and On-Grid, Export Control - this should be set to 60,000 (sixty thousand) anything less and it will limit the export power to that value.

Re: Where to find the datalogger SN?
If you have already got it registered and look at the Foxesscloud website, inverter details page - the datalogger serial number is shown there. If not look at the datalogger itself and on the front is a label with a QR code - your phones camera will display the SN when you hover over it, if not just...

Re: Adding batteries
I've not seen a video for the HV2600's specifically but follow the manual instructions closely, take lots of pictures and plan out the cable runs before you start to ensure you maintain the polarity. The DIP switches on each battery should be left all off - whenever the BMS starts up it auto-negotia...

Re: Drawing from grid when batteries 80% charged
I’m not aware of any wifi based CT clamps - there are more complicated solutions that require an RS485 meter to be fitted (replaces the a CT clamp), there is then a LORA device that will transmit the signal to another LORA device fitted at the inverter (up to 3,500 metres in open air). This is a kno...

Re: Fox ESS AC-5.0E Maximum Charge Rate
The maximum charge rate is also 5kW but it will depend on how many batteries you have (and what their temperature is) as to whether it can deliver it. As you only have 2 ECS2900 batteries, the voltage range is 97-130V and with a maximum DC charge rate of 40A that would give you a charge range of bet...

Re: 24Kw of Battery
This can be quite a complicated answer as it depends on which batteries you will have - it all comes down to the battery voltage of the battery stack you will have and the maximum current the batteries can supply. But that said a 24kWh battery is a reasonable size (if I do the maths on the ECS4100 b...

Re: Lost connection to Fox Ess V1.50.18 again
The V2 app is still in beta but much better than the original app, I would recommend you upgrade to that (but keep the V1 app). You can also login at the Foxesscloud.com website using the same credentials. The main thing to determine is it the app not working, or is the inverter 'off-line' ? - if th...

Re: Write error
Which app (or website) are you using ?. Some actions such as charge times have to be written directly to your inverter and if that connection is off-line or not available it will throw and error. Assuming the inverter is connected ok - whilst it's not a great answer most users work through the vario...

Re: Drawing from grid when batteries 80% charged
Just had solar installed, 25/03. In self use mode the batteries always charge from grid, so we are pulling large loads once PV, stops (at night). If I use max feed in to grid battery drifts down to 20% min SoC, , switch to self use and the system grabs a full charge from the grid. Just reading ther...
