Re: Fox ESS Error Code-1 No Utility, Error Code-26 Grid Voltage Fault, Error Code-27 Grid Frequency
It's a LIVE CA132b, 32A circuit breaker, which had tripped. That should be good to 7.6kW at 240V, where the system reports itself at drawing and giving upto 5kW. Should I be concerned the headroom is a bit small? I usually go for a factor of 2, e, or Pi, rather than root 2, for mundane systems. But ...

Re: Fox ESS Error Code-1 No Utility, Error Code-26 Grid Voltage Fault, Error Code-27 Grid Frequency
I've just found I had the same problem. The error log gave this, Tuesday, morning as the time, but looking at history, we've had no function since 19:27 on Sunday 1-12-24. I've reset it - I'm not sure that it took the first time, so I did it twice, and now we are charging, etc. I hope this is a one ...

Re: Have we done this correctly?
Hi, that sounds like a nicely balanced system and with enough battery to get you through the dark winter days (i.e. get a eco tariff that allows you to charge overnight at a low tariff). Only a couple of small observations, you are going with a 5kW inverter which is more than capable of taking the ...

Re: export price
In the V2 app click the three dots in the top right hand corner and select ‘Edit Plant’ at the bottom of that page is the ‘Unit Income’ which is the amount you get paid for export. It’s not great as it just multiplies your current cumulative generation by that figure so doesn’t take into account chan ...

Re: H1 Wifi Datalogger Capabilities
There is no direct connection available to the dataloggers, they send packets of data to the cloud every 5 minutes and that can be accessed in the cloud. If you setup a home assistant there is a cloud interface that gathers all of the totals and 5 minute samples as sensors which works ok - but is ...

I'm having similar problems - got new wifi 2 days ago and have followed all the instructions to connect to dongle and change the settings. It says it is successful but it is still offline, I've tried rebooting the inverter, taking out the dongle and re-seating. I even tried connecting back to the ...

Re: How to stop Battery Discharging in morning
A lot of people on Octopus Flux switch to Octopus Go in October and switch back to it in March for this reason. The Octopus GO terms say you need an EV but there are no checks when signing up (unlike Intelligent GO which you must have an EV). Anyway to answer your question, assuming you are using ...

Re: BMS V2 with mixed v1/v2 batteries - Solution to persistent BMS alarms.
I am seeing this error after about 4weeks since I installed a V2 Battery & BMS. Currently have x3 ver.D, x1 ver.C and a new x1 V2 battery and V2 BMS. is this fix still valid as it will save a call to FOX ? If you haven't been supplied a special cable for mixed V1 / V2 packs, yes this fix still ...

Re: Also missing capacity...
Interestingly your Fox cloud stats say that your discharged 12.9kWh in the day which is close to your calculation of 12.2kWh you calculated - so that would appear to be correct. Fox says your charge energy for the day was 10.7kWh and your batteries were charging for 3.5 hours at 3.6kW so without ...

Re: Expected PV power in winter sun?
Hello, I am not sure what to do, I had a new system installed 11kwh and it only produces between 0.1 and 0.3 even on sunny days. Installer said that maybe 1 out of the 24 pannels have some shadow because of a tree and is bringing the production down to all of them. Any advices? Kind regards When ...

The Fox cloud is having trouble at the moment, it’s been reported and we’re just waiting on Fox to resolve it - best to check back in the morning.

Re: Lagging behind cloud app
The home assistant cloud integration paces the calls it makes to avoid burning through your api limit - and the report generation is only fetched every 60 minutes.
You’re not missing anything it will catch up when it does the next fetch but it can be up to 60 minutes out of sync.

Re: Eddi draining battery when triggered by drop in demand
Yes that's correct - I have both Zappi and EDDI with the Zappi acting as master, when that is the case all of these advanced settings are made in the Zappi - if you only have the EDDI you will have the option shown in it's menus.

Re: The app keeps logging me out
If you are logging in from multiple places (phone, tablet, website etc..) it will invalidate the token for the previous log-in, other than that it only really does it when there has been an issue with the Foxcloud servers (and there's been a few of those recently).

Re: Eddi draining battery when triggered by drop in demand
The export margin setting is on the EDDI (or the Zappi if you have both setup) the inverter is working the way it should and when there is a large change in load it takes a second or two for it to adjust to the change which results in a small grid import or export for a fraction of a second. If you ...

Re: Inverter fault 169
That's a strange error (sample fault) - I think the first step would be to do a full restart on your inverter. Basically you have to open the PV isolator, open the AC isolator, power off the batteries - wait 30 seconds and then reverse the process. - - this video guide will help to do that. https ...

Re: HV 2600 batteries
If you have a G2 inverter you can, but not on the earlier inverters - the max number (under warranty) is 7. There are people with 8 batteries on the older inverters some have had problems and Fox won't support them unless the stack is reduced to 7. The problem is maximum battery voltage, the G1 ...

Re: How long should the batteries hold the charge
If you have the V2 app, click on 'Device' at the bottom, click on 'Battery' at the top and you''' see it there to the right of the battery graphic - this shows the lowest battery cell temperature in your stack (which is what the BMS uses to control charge/discharge power).

Is it greyed out or showing as disabled ? - if it's greyed out that means your firmware doesn't support scheduler and you need to use charge periods instead, which you can find in the app under 'Device', Battery, Settings and you'll see the Force Time Charge there - set the time, slide the 'Enable ...

Re: Limit the maximum battery charge rate?
There is an option within the inverter settings to set the maximum charge current which will do as you want. The charge current is in amps (A) and is the DC current going into the battery so you will need to know you battery volts to calculate the charge power. You can see battery volts at the ...

Re: How long should the batteries hold the charge
Hi Dave, No heaters on at night . I figured the big draw is the batteries charging over night from 0100 to 0600. No the batteries charging doesn't show as load (it shows as 'battery' instead), you have something switching on in your house which explains why the battery is draining - given it's cold ...
