I have a fox home Ev charger and the app.
If I schedule a start time of 0030hrs to 0530hrs (my cheap rate times) it doesn’t work!
If I schedule it for 2355hrs to 0530hrs it does work!
So it seems like you can’t set up a schedule unless it’s for the current day, has anyone else had this issue or got any advice?
Many thanks
Just to double check that you are using ‘scheduler’ and not the charge periods.
Often it’s simple things like an overlap with another scheduled item i.e. if a previous schedule finishes at 00:30 and the next starts at 00:30 the first schedule will actually finish at 00:30:59 which can overwrite the next schedule, but if you can post images of your app scheduler settings that would help diagnose.
Which inverter is it H1 (G1/G2), KH, H3 etc.. - and what Master, Slave, ARM firmware versions are you running.

Hi Dave
Many thanks for the quick response, I have attached a couple of screen shots but to be honest I’m not sure where to find the information you are asking for!
What I can say for sure is I am using the scheduler and there is no crossover as I’m only using one!

You can get your firmware versions by on that second image (‘Device’) click on the serial number underneath the picture of the inverter and towards the bottom will be the firmware master, slave & ARM versions.
I’m wondering if the problem is that you are spanning midnight, the scheduler cannot go over midnight it’s designed to run in the current day, so for example if you wanted to go from 23:30-05:30 you would have to set 2 charge periods, 1 that ran from 23:30 to 23:59 and the second that ran from 00:00 to 05:29

Hi Dave
In actual fact the opposite is true and that’s my issue!
If I schedule for 0030hrs to 0530hrs to does NOT work, it won’t pick up the schedule.
If I set it from 2355hrs to 0530hrs it works fine!
But I want to be able to set it 0030hrs to o530hrs as these are my cheap tariff times.

I’ll be honest i’m stumped, the way it is working for you is not what we normally see.
What app are you using to set the schedule ?, the screen shots you have posted are different to the normal V2 app i’m familiar with - have you tried setting schedules on the Foxcloud website rather than the app ?

Hi Dave
I know right!?
I’m using the foxcloud2.0 which is what they set me up with for my solar panels and ev charger.
No I haven’t tried setting the schedules on the web but I could do if you think it would help?
So if I set a schedule today for example for 0030hrs tomorrow to 0530hrs you think it should work?
Best regards
Gary

Yes on the web I would expect you to see the schedule item for ‘Force Charge’ and you would normally set a minsoc of 10% and a maxsoc of 100% - fingers crossed !
Hi Dave
So I’ve finally managed to get onto the web link for this and I have no clue what to do!
Can you talk me though it please?

Ok, it takes a bit of getting used to - but in the left menu, choose ‘Device’, ‘Inverter’ and it will list all the inverters on your site, in the ‘Operation’ box click on the blue icon which will take you to the Inverter Details page, approx half way down that screen is ‘Energy Flow’ and under that you will see the text Work Model : xxxxxxxx and next to that another blue icon, click that and it will take you to the scheduler page, stay on the ‘user defined’ tab and create your schedule and choose Force Charge, set your time period, minSoC (usually leave at 10%) and MaxSoC to 100% (that’s how high you want to charge the battery too) and ‘save’ which will write the schedule to the inverter.
Hi Dave
Many thanks for the detailed step by step guide.
I have found my way to what you are talking about but I still have questions!
On the Fox app when I set a schedule I can pick a day, on the web link I can’t I can only set it for the current day? Or am I simply setting it up for example for 0030hrs and then and then on and off as I need it? So if I wanted it to come on tomorrow at 003hrs I would simply switch it on at some point today and it would pick up the next 0030hrs?
Also how would this scheduling my daily charging of my battery which is set for 0400hrs to 0530hrs?
Sorry for all the questions but I’m still trying to get this to work properly!
Many thanks
Gary
