Re: Data in APP makes no sense (no it is not EFFICIENCY)

Yes agree 72% is low but over 1 day your results really won’t be accurate and with low generation and consumption your system losses appear larger - it is best to view these stats on a monthly basis. The winter months of December and January are always the worst because of the suns low elevation.

I ...

Re: newbie looking to expand battery capacity

Hi Steve,

If your HV2600 batteries are 2 years old it is very likely they are V1 batteries - you would normally expect to see a white sticker on the front saying Ver:C or Ver:D

If they are V1 batteries they are rare as hens teeth to find them (you might find them on eBay), but there is a V2 HV2600 ...

Re: Data in APP makes no sense (no it is not EFFICIENCY)

Your solar Production was 4.1 kWh (A)
You Exported 1.4 kWh (B)
So your Self-Consumption is (A-B) = 2.7 kWh (C)
Your Self-Consumption ration is (C / A) = 66%

Your consumption was 5.3 kWh (D)
You Purchased 5.2 kWh from grid (E)
Your Self-sufficiency is (D-E)=.1 kWh (F)
Your % self-sufficiency is the ...

Re: Stop battery discharging using mode scheduler

The only slot that would charge the battery is the first one, and it wouldn’t turn on because you can’t have an overlap with another time slot (it has an overlap with the second).

To delete a slot, swipe it left and choose delete

Hi i’m newish to the forum and i can’t work out how to make a new post but this is similar to my problem.

Re: Charge period lovlace card issue

Hi Phil, sadly the KH series doesn't expose the charge time registers and so the charge card will not work (which is a pain)

What i've done for other KH users is to create several timedate helpers i.e. a charge period 1 start, charge period 1 end, charge period 2 start, charge period 2 end and also ...

Re: Fault 1116 Ground Impedance Fault

The inverter is measuring a current imbalance to ground, Fox say this could be because the inverter ground connections are not properly terminated or there is resistance between the ground and live cables - so a visual check of all connections to make sure that connections to ground are well ...

Yes that is the address from the latest modbus spec and is definitely working on the H3_Pro - so it looks like the H3 doesn’t support this function via modbus 😕

Re: Fox Battery will not Force Charge as the same time as Hypervolt EV Charger.

On a related theme, when my EV charger was installed they have wired it so that it now drains the EP11 battery when IOG schedules peak rate charging windows and the EP11 isn't set to Force charge. The installer said he wasn't trained in solar and so could not add it as a separate circuit before ...

Re: KH inverter USB to Modbus connection query

Thanks for that info Dave. So if I have got it right only connect to the Meter/CT/RS485 port on the inverter for HA access.

Yes that’s right, it’s a 2 wire balanced connection so it doesn’t need a ground or any power, just an A/B pair.
On the KH inverter you will find RS485A on pin 4 and ...

Re: KH inverter USB to Modbus connection query

Yes you should not use the USB port for any other purpose than it is designed for, even on earlier generation inverters that did have a spare USB port - these were only low power devices and not suitable for supplying power to modbus adaptors long term (unless extremely low power)

On the later ...

Re: Myenergi Zappi automation to protect hybrid battery during Eco Tariff

I'd recommend strongly against editing the automations.yaml file, they really don't want you to do that and it can cause a lot of heartache. I have written code in one version of home assistant, sent it to someone as yaml in a different version of home assistant and it corrupted the automation.yaml ...

Re: H1 USA version and modbus

Hmm ok, yours is slightly different from the US hybrid manual on their website but it looks like that P2 connector (right hand 3 pins) has an RS485 output that may allow modbus - but in all honesty it also may not, we’ve never tested one of these so it would be useful if you could connect an RS485 ...

Re: Required to Create a Plant

Ok thanks, it sounds like an AC1 inverter with your solar being managed by another inverter (or micro inverters).

The shutdown sequence is easier,

On the large rotary AC isolator, switch that to OFF
On the EP11, press and hold the power button for 5 seconds, when all the led's start blinking ...

The dongle (Datalogger?) is flashing about twice a second.
The inverter looks fine (blue & green).
What do I need to do?

The inverter will be working fine, it’s just that you cannot see it in the cloud - a slow red flash means it’s connected (you would know if it was rapid) and approx every 30 ...

Is your datalogger connected via wifi ?, if it is has anything changed with your home wifi.

If it is showing as off-line then the datalogger is not connected to wifi, can you see a red light on it flashing rapidly (or is it a slow flash).

They usually take 24-48 hours to respond, with agile they may need to get their R&D team to look at it which might take a bit longer.

Thanks again Dave. Does that mean that if I force charge the battery up to 100% over, say, a 3 hour period using the Mode Scheduler, and it reaches 100% within the first 2 hours, it will then discharge during the remaining hour of the period? If so that’s very different to what I’m used to with ...
