Re: Error Code 194 - Batter over voltage
I took a closer look at the data of the battery. In fact (as the error states...) the voltage keeps rising, although the battery is at 100%. It goes as high as 420 volts. 428 is the max according to the fact sheet.
It will happen again in a few hours since the battery is still full and the sun ...

In the V2 app click on Device and then Inverter, then click the serial number under the inverter picture and it will provide all that information

These are the latest versions for your inverter, you are a little bit behind - either ask your installer to update or you can raise a support ticket on Fox in the app
Master 1.33,
Slave 1.03,
ARM(Manager) 1.49

I want to set the max SOC to 90% in the mode scheduler when force charging overnight. Whenever I do this it still charges to 100%. an I doing something wrong
The MaxSoc setting only restricts the amount of grid charge, solar will always charge the batteries all the way to 100% - if you change ...

Re: 'G100 State 3'
Unless you have a reason to be set to G100 (like an export limit), I wouldn’t expect to see any G100 errors on a 3kW inverter as it is below the G98 limit and shouldn’t need anything special.
The state 3 means that your inverter has detected a parameter grid voltage, frequency, export power etc ...

Re: Help needed with app set up
Thanks - made some headway.
I’ve managed to add the devices but the inverter is saying : Fault Code 240 - Manger fail to detect CT
That’s a hardware fault, the CT is a clamp device fitted near to the smart meter and measures the power flow so it can balance the load.
The inverter is not ...

How do I know if the firmware on Inverter is up to date ?
Where is firmware version written ?
Look in the V2 app, click Device at the bottom and then click the Inverter and click on the serial number below the picture of the inverter, that will show your Master, Slave & ARM(Manager) versions ...

You should be able to as long as you generate enough electricity in the day from solar to cover your load and charge the batteries and as long as the batteries are scaled appropriately - ideally your batteries would be twice your normal daily usage so that you have enough power to keep running even ...

The slow red flash (and green pulse) mean the datalogger is connected ok, you won’t need to repeat that - so it’s just the add a plant bit where you add the dataloggers serial number, there is a QR code on it that when scanned by your camera will show the serial number but double check that any ...

Do you have 2 inverters in parallel ?, that usually happens when it is configured to run in parallel and the wiring or addresses have not been set correctly.

Re: adding more HV2600s
The AIO is a special and only allows 4 batteries to be fitted - I know that some people have done special wiring configurations outside of the box and managed to get a couple more HV2600's running but it's not supported by Fox and would invalidate your warranty.

If it's slow red flash with the occasional green, it is connected to your wifi and talking to the cloud.

Re: Batteries not being charged overnight ?
ok, thanks - the latter 3 error messages are as a result of the restart (loss of grid power), but the first implies there is a cell voltage problem with the battery pack which will keep it off-line (unless it corrects itself in the meantime as the voltage slumps), but Fox should be able to resolve ...

There can be dozens of answers to this question so we'll need a lot more information, are you charging using the charge periods or the scheduler ? - what settings have you used.
Common problems are the minsoc (battery reserve) has been left set at 100%, charge periods set to a value other than 00 ...

Fox ESS don’t actively publish retrospective changes in their systems, for modbus any known new features (of common use) are covered in the release notes https://github.com/nathanmarlor/foxess_modbus/releases

You can do exactly that, things to be very mindful of -
take a picture of the batteries and the wiring before you start,
make sure that the batteries are re-stacked in the same order as they were and do not change the dip switch settings.
be careful with the DC cables - you'll have over 200V dc ...

Thanks for the tips, much appreciated.I have checked out connector box and also looked at datasheet voltages etc, as you suggested.

Re: OK to install Fox EES 3.3kwH battery alongside existing 5.2kw battery?
It's a fairly common experience for solar users, I always say add as much battery as you can when it's new but they are very simple to retrofit - it is better to add batteries when they are newer, if you delay too long you risk adding a new battery which won't be able to reach it's full potential as ...

The T series out of the box are unable to measure the load and grid usage in the home as they are not fitted with a meter or CT clamp as standard - your installer is correct this is an optional device that when fitted allows the inverter to measure the power at your meter and calculate your house ...

Hi, welcome to the forum.
You have a large system there, and being 3 phase (and large) it is prone to using more power when biasing the grid in Self-Use, the amount of gird bias is specific to your system as it will depend on how you use the system, which bigger loads switch on and off and how ...

LiFePo4 batteries are much more stable than Li-ion and have a wide range of use (depth of discharge), the Fox batteries are 90% DoD and it is better to use the entire depth of discharge rather than a reduced limit such as 50%. The BMS manages the individual cell balance of the batteries and it ...
