Re: New hybrid install, need help before I pay please

It’s such a shame as it’s so very nearly there, just the moving of the meter and the inverter connection so it powers the entire phase (or replace the meter with a CT clamp) probably a couple of hours and it would be finished.

If you could get an independent electrician (or experienced Fox ...

Re: New hybrid install, need help before I pay please

The installers should leave you with a simple wiring schematic of the system, if they didn't I think it would be worth do a simple drawing to show what you are expecting.

The main meter shouldn't be monitoring the backup circuit it just won't work like that, the second inverter should be connected ...

Re: New hybrid install, need help before I pay please

The DDSU would normally be in the consumer unit (or one on it's own) and the power cores pass through it - you might need to take off the consumer unit cover to see that but to measure the phase it has to be 'in-circuit' and those cores should be rated to handle the load (usually a minimum of 10mm ...

Re: Senetic

Yes the ECS batteries have a continuous rated discharge of 50A, vs the 27A for the EP and the published number of cycles is higher for the ECS, that said they both use the same battery chemistry LifePo4 and whilst not stated by Fox it is expected that their battery characteristics will be similar ...

Re: KH10 Technical compatability with Australia VPP

I think it may be referring to AS4777.2:2015, in Australia solar systems must be able to receive signals remotely so that they can be controlled by the network i.e. do not generate power, do not consume at more than 50% of power etc...

This requirement will be met on the KH inverters as they ...

Re: New hybrid install, need help before I pay please

I'll use a simple diagram of how an EV charger should be wired to avoid being seen by the inverter.

If you look at this diagram and imagine this is just one of your phases coming into the house from your meter, the live feed will be split using a Henley block (a very large terminal connector), one ...

Bonjour et bienvenue sur le forum,

Mon français n'est pas très bon, alors je vais répondre en anglais et te laisser traduire.

The ECS2900 V1's have been discontinued some time ago, the last few I was aware of were sold in October 2024 and so if you need to purchase additional units I would suggest ...

Re: New hybrid install, need help before I pay please

Ok thanks, that's good news as each inverter is wired up to a single phases house loads.

On the inverter screen you will see 'Power' and 'SoC', Power is the amount of work the inverter is doing, SoC the battery state - so for example you might see 1200 watt for Power which means the inverter is ...

Re: New hybrid install, need help before I pay please

Yes you should see the load reading change when anything is turned on in the house, admittedly the data samples are only taken every 5 minutes so you need to wait at least 6 minutes to be sure but if it does not change then the load is not being seen by the inverters meter/CT clamp and consequently ...

thanks, sounds like everyone should avoid master: V1.62, manager: V1.34 for now

Re: Grid Pressure/Push back Setting added to the K and H1-gen2

How do I know if I have an H1 Gen1 or Gen2?

I have a H1-3.7-E now on manager version 1.78 and master version 1.63 but can’t see this new option.

If you are on those firmware versions you will have an H1 Gen 1 and sadly those settings have not yet been added, it's only on the later models (so ...

Re: New set up

That sounds like a good plan, the waveshare USB will be plugged into the Pi4B and the A/B connections wired to the RS485A/B on the meter/ct connector of the inverter so it makes a lot of sense for the installer to do that whilst they are there (I would hope they are quite familiar with doing that ...

Re: Force discharge restart ?

In all honesty i’m surprised that when the Force Discharge period is still active with an FDSoC set, it would charge the battery once it gets to FDSoC.

The default workmode it returns to is Self Use afterwards so perhaps it is defaulting to that once it meets the FDSoC condition… ? - i’d be ...

Re: Help me understand string generation patterns

In all honesty it’s very unusual in the UK to get totally smooth curves, more common in mainland Europe where the skies are clearer of light cloud.

How the strings face, what shadows may be cast from chimneys, aerials, gable ends, pigeons on the roof, trees - even scaffold if it is still up will ...

Re: Faulty firmware for the H3-Pro?

Yes Fox have changed the scale in the H3 Pro so that it changes the scale - we don’t know why as it is now different from every other inverter but their latest specificiation confirms the scale change.

There is a PR waiting to be merged and approved, if you are ok to make a few editor changes you ...

Ok, it takes a bit of getting used to - but in the left menu, choose ‘Device’, ‘Inverter’ and it will list all the inverters on your site, in the ‘Operation’ box click on the blue icon which will take you to the Inverter Details page, approx half way down that screen is ‘Energy Flow’ and under that ...

Ok very likely firmware !, if it is Nathan’s integration you can try in HA going to Settings -> Devices & Services -> FoxESS - Modbus -> Configure -> Version settings and select the PRE133 version - that uses an older register map, but once your firmware is updated it will stop working and you would ...

Re: Best way to split 24 panels across 3 strings?

The early versions of KH had a string limit set too low (thats the 3300 watts), the latest firmware supports up to 16A per string and that’s an effective power of 5500w at 360V nominal string voltage but obviously string voltage will depend on the number of panels and the panels used.

I would think ...
