I had my system installed last week, and it was working Ok, I think. And then,
This afternoon, my mobile app went offline.
The wifi dongle module on the bottom of the inverter is flashing red quickly, showing no wifi connection.
I've looked around on this site and followed the advice to try resetting the entire system (powered down the inverter, and battery, and then powered it up again). That didn't work.
I tried unscrewing, removing and then replacing the wifi module dongle. Still not working, still the same rapid flashing light.
I followed the advice in this helpful image to connect to the wifi module on my phone; for me, this is W-497A119, which is already stored in my phone's system, with the password mtmt2020 coded in. When I am connected to that network, I then went to 192.168.1.1 on a separate browser and hit enter
Here's where I get something different from what I expect. I get a page asking me to log in to the admin account (which can't be changed, there's no way I can try to log into a different one). If I enter my wifi network password, it gets rejected (abnormal login, as shown in the image below) as does mtmt2020. So I can't get past this to the page where I can select my home network and then put that network password in
Can anyone help me work out how to get my app reconnected, please
Lost wifi connection, app offline
Hello,
That model wifi module needs you to use the fox 2 app to setup not direct over the wifi like how you're trying.

Ha! Will, you're a star, thank you. I spent ages on this trying to do it manually!
For anyone who has a similar problem to me in the future, Will was right!
I went into the app.
Used the "me" button at the bottom left and selected WLAN configuration let it search for devices, and it found my module (shown in the middle of this picture), so I selected that, connected network and entered my wifi router password, and we're back on again. Really appreciate your help, Will.

I had the same problem which I assumed to be foxcloud down again but came across this after waiting a day for it to come back on.
It worked for me too. Thank you.
I had to restart the foxcloud 2 app before it worked.
I would add that you can check foxcloud status on https://monitor.foxesscommunity.com/status/foxess to save waiting.

Hi, I have been trying to connect to my wifi network and have followed some of the tips on this forum. However when I connect directly to the dongle wifi (page 192.168.1.1) it loads the page but does not give me a list of available networks. See screenshot
I have tried ensuring I have a wifi with only 2.4ghz signal but get nothing.
Help appreciated.

make sure you put it into airplane mode, then only enable wifi. Phones are too clever nowadays and will try to bridge wifi with mobile networks when it can't access the internet causing the browser to stall. Airplane mode solves this.

Thanks, I just tried putting into Airplane mode and just starting Wifi but makes no difference. I also tried with a Mac laptop. I can see the page connecting and initializing but I never see any available networks in the dropdown.

I have just tried to run through the network setup via the FoxCloud 2.0 iPhone app. I am still not able to see any WiFi networks but I do get local_connection_error pop up.
