Set Forced Charging for my battery SOC 60% night-time cheap electricity: 0000h to 0530h.
Woke up this morning - battery at 30% only.
Checked battery stats - it had charged to 60% but dishwasher, washing machine etc. on timer subsequently drained battery in early hours of morning.
Newbie error - inverter defaults to Self-Use when my SOC 60% is reached? Thus, my later timed wash drained the battery?
Should I set "After Charging Cut-off" to Backup or Standby?
Not sure what the difference between the two are.
Standby and Backup are closely related. I am not 100% sure on the difference, but from what I recall, 'Backup' is designed for mains failure, so it will hold the value set. 'Standby' is as far as I understand put the battery in a rest mode, so it's not quite designed to kick in during a power failure.
'Backup' is kind of a warm standby for the battery to take over during a power cut immediately.
As usual, I will mention I could have that wrong, but that's just how I understand it. Overnight charging with Home Assistant, would choose 'Backup' during a force charge.

It’s a subtle difference but Standby holds all battery activity so it will neither charge or discharge, Backup will hold discharge but it will continue to charge from solar during the day.

Seems particularly useful on a very sunny day with excess solar generation.
I can keep topping up my battery with solar, whilst the house and EV are fully engaged with solar too.
