I have set forced charge and discharge schedules......
There is an option under "After Discharging cut-off" for
Self-Use.........Feed-in.........Priority.........Back Up.........Standby
whats the difference between self use and standby
thanks

This being Fox we have to work this out for ourselves, sadly i've got a gen 1 inverter and don't get any of these options - but from what I have been able to work out from others Standby holds all battery activity so it will not charge or discharge, whereas Backup will hold discharge activity but will allow charge from solar.
Self Use will operate as normal, charging from solar if available, powering the house if not (and battery above minsoc)

Pretty much what I thought
Thank you

I can confirm David's explanation is correct having verified this on my home system.
Also worthy of note is that the new mode scheduler options are at last available on the web portal.

having recently signed up with Axle it seems their systems do not restore the original settings after an event which is somewhat annoying to say the least.....

I get an email to check settings after an event, more of belt and braces from their end.
I am using Fox for system control, I have Home Assistant, but do not use it currently for scheduling.
Might be FW version related, or something has crashed inside your inverter, needing a reboot?
What work mode is your system running in prior to the event? Self-use or something else?

Yes, self use.....I have it set to discharge to 10% between 00.00 and 02.00 then charge between 03.00 and 05.30.....then self use......which all seems to work ok until axle kicks in to use iron
I only have the on demand set rather than full control

Ah not strictly 'Self-use' you are using Mode Scheduler, that is programmed to charge/discharge.
I have mine set to on demand in Axle, so not that.
Are you saying it swaps to 'Self-use' after events? Rather than back to 'Mode Scheduler' (See below for clarity)
If so, might be worth pinging a message to Axle support to ask what's going on.
Just for clarity, there are 4x 'Basic' Work Modes:
Self-use
Feed-in Priority
Back Up
Peak Shaving
Then you have 2x special modes under 'Advanced'
Mode Scheduler <-- What you are programming your charge/discharge with
Octopus Agile
seems so....after the grid event it switches to self use which in itself is annoying BUT the schedule that I set (forced discharge from 00.00 to 02.00) has gone, replaced by THEIR schedule from - in this case - tonight which was forced discharge from 19.30 to 20.30.....which I am finding very irritating as repeatedly resetting to my requirement takes time and should not be required
All they could offer was this

For me, in the FoxCloud2.0 App, the existing time slots programmed are not removed. They are 'turned off' via a slider, so next time you see an event, and it finishes, can you take a picture of your mode scheduler and see what is there?
It has returned to self use.....surely it should be mode scheduler IN self use mode.....

Mine pops back to Basic Self-use, seems that yours does too.
At least you just need to enter the advanced mode and just toggle the exist schedules on again (you can erase the 18:00 - 20:00 they added)

To clarify
After tonights discharge the Axle system has again deleted (or changed) the forced discharge schedule I had set up.....and also set it back to self use rather than returning it to mode scheduler as I had it.....
PRIOR to the event I had a forced discharge set between 00:00 and 02:00 and a forced charge set between 03:00 and 05:30 as below
After the event it has changed (or deleted???) my forced discharge schedule and also left previous Axle schedules in the list although not active

This is either something you have to get used to doing, or reach out to Axle support to ask them to assist.
They write the software that controls the Inverter, so they can make adjustments.

I have contacted them several times.....how difficult can it be to read the existing config and restore it afterwards....like they say they will
