Hi
I've just had a system installed and very happy with it.
I've recently gone over to Octopus Agile and I've connected the API to the FOX app.
When I set a schedule to buy electric triggered by price (e.g. 2p) it accepts the price for that day but when it goes over to the following day it adjusts the price to a random number (e.g. 23.3p)
I presume it does this because the min price changes daily but I want it to charge the battery at set price regardless of the day's prices. For example, set the price at 2p and whenever it hits 2p it charges the battery, whether it hits 2p tomorrow or in 4 weeks time. A "set and forget" type of schedule.
I don't know if this is possible but it makes logical sense as you can always charge at the price you like. People don't want to be checking prices every day and setting a schedule for that day?
Any help is much appreciated.
Hi
Sorry to post on my own thread.
Mode Scheduler doesn't seem to be working. It works if it switches to a "standard mode" i.e. peak shaving but it won't switch to force discharge or force charge.
As a result Octopus Agile doesn't work at all.
Anyone got any idea as to why this would happen?

Could you go through the process of setting up mode schedule again and just check that you've hit every Confirm, Save and Apply that appears? I've been caught out by that before.
Hi
Thanks so much for your reply.
I tried again making sure I've hit every OK and confirm etc. Still no luck.
It successfully works on self-use and backup but not force charge or discharge. So it seems as though it scheduler is working but the force charge or discharge modes are not.

I did test Agile again a week ago, seemed fine.
Can you post screenshot of your Agile mode settings, so it can be checked?

Screenshots attached. As you can see the current mode is "forced charge" so the schedule from Agile is working as it should but the inverter isn't pulling 1000w from the grid.
The inverter is working as it would in "self-use" mode not "forced charge" mode

I asked for 3x slots, and I have it set as you to get the 3x cheapest slots for the day.
When I exit, and enter the Agile section again, I get 3x charge sessions populated.
Maybe your power rate is too low, and I am not sure you need 14x charging sessions.
If you don't see the charge slots listed after setting, you may have to delete your tariff and load it again perhaps?

The Inverter firmware could be interpreting this as not to pull 1000W from the grid, but operate the Inverter in "make 1000W of power in total"
I set 14 slots to try and get it to charge at the current time. I've tried many different W amounts. Everything from 10W up to 13000W.
I think this is going to be more complicated than I ever could imagine. This person has the same inverter as me and he has his hard wired and running code etc and still has issues:
