Here's the link to the article which seems to indicate a lot of FoxESS installations might be non-compliant... how's yours looking?.... i'm worried.

My install didn't come compliant with the two covers so I've sourced and installed them myself rather than going through the installer. For the battery master cover FoxESS nicely supplied me the cover. For the inverter terminal/wiring cover I sourced that from Solar Juice at something like $40 delivered.

I think mine might not be compliant either. How did you go with yours? Has it been inspected?
My installation has those wires exposed as well. System has been inspected by Access Canberra and I did ask the inspector about the exposed DC wires. He said that isn't an issue. My system is compliant.

They are installed the same here, I’ve had made a cover for both Inverter and battery, protects from UV/heat etc and covers all cables around underside of inverter and connection side to battery, for the abysmal weather we receive for 9 months of the year in the UK, the battery is insulted in both the cover and the external cover with a total of 100mm insulation board, positive effect is it keeps it warm in winter and cool in summer.

Here's a pic of mine so you can see why i'm annoyed with the tardiness of the installation, i've just today sent another email to the installer, supplier, electrician, and certifiers asking for some advice on tidying it up, it's just a shambles as far as i'm concerned, un-protected wiring, poorly secured brackets, 'dodgy' earth connection..... once they get your money they just disappear, so annoying.

Funny how going to the other side of the world standards can be similar, perhaps my installer emigrated
I had some less than acceptable parts to the install that I could not be bothered to complain about, and resolved myself.
The worst being the earth cabling around the inverter, where the wiring was connected into a Wago that was pushed up behind the base of the inverter. The install is only as good as the installer no matter how good the kit is.
My wife was concerned by the exposed wiring and potential for small grandkids to go poking around.
Initially I looked at the small number of commercial offerings that were supplying covers and were not taken by them, so I designed my own and had a local fabricator make them up and powder coat them. That was last Sep/Oct, then the temps were dropping and the battery heater was kicking in, so insulated the metal cover internally, but as winter kicked in the battery temps were still dropping to sub 10C, so then made an insulted box out of 50mm Celotex to go over the metal cover and problem solved even on nights were external temps hit -10C a few times.
Image shows after I had sorted the earth wiring into a waterproof box, then with the covers on, and finally the external insulated box.

That's a very nice result, those covers are fantastic, you should be selling them.
Despite my moaning about how poor my install is, and like you i'd really rather fix it myself to get it done, i'm just not that confident about poking around with high-voltage cables, inverters and batteries etc, hence my chasing up the installers if i can ever get a hold of them, but in reality my system has been going really well, i'm due for my 1st full quarterly electricity bill with the battery in the next day or so and from what i've seen it will be no more than $20-$30 which is a good result.
At the moment here we are going thru quite a few days of cloud and rain, temps have dropped to around 5c overnight upto 13-17c during the day, battery is down to 10% and were using power from the grid, looks like more of the same for the next week.
