Wrong system reading and battery in idle
Hi,
I've had the panels and a battery installed around a month ago and have waited until first bill to confirm my theory. The system seems to use the power from the panels well, however during the night and early morning the power comes from the grid but is registered as export. It best shows as we have an immersion heater to work between 4-6am. When panels don't generate power the system draws from the grid and ignores the battery and it is only dropping 1 or 2% and goes back to full after short while. Only works on forced charge/discharge.
I have checked the CT clamp and it's arrow is facing towards the house.

Re: Wrong system reading and battery in idle
What does your power flow show your house load to be on the first page of the app ?, particularly when the panels are generating.

It certainly sounds like a CT problem, either it has become disabled in settings, or is reversed in it’s fitting. - note the arrow direction is irrelevant if the cable polarity has been reversed in the meter connector (a common issue).
Re: Wrong system reading and battery in idle
Haven't got a picture from a core day but that's showing now. I have asked the question to my installer awaiting a reply from them of somebody to come over to have a look at it.

Re: Wrong system reading and battery in idle
The CT is working as it’s reporting your house load, it is however reversed, there is an option within the inverter settings that allows you to reverse it (your installer can do this remotely with their installer access) - but easier would be to un-clip it, it will roll open then refit with the arrow facing the opposite direction.
Re: Wrong system reading and battery in idle
Reversed the clamo and it seems to be fine now. Great thanks for your help!

Great, looks like a bit of sun today as well, so hopefully get your battery charged too 8-)
