Hi,
I got a H3G2 11kW Inverter and the full stack of ECS4300 batteries. My main house connection has a 50A main breaker (SLS in german) So, there is plenty of space for charging a car AND charging battery AND household.
I'm trying to charge my battery (mode scheduler) and my car at night. I mentioned that when the cars charges(11kw), the battery will not charge. I tried several setups What I found out was. The battery only charges if the load is under 11kw. So lets say, if I set the car to charge with 7kW, the battery was charging with almost 3 kW. When I raise the charging power of the car, the battery charge drops. When I stop the charging of the car. The inverter starts to charge the battery with 9-10kW. What ever i set, the load sticks at 11kW.
For me It seems there is a "hidden" settings in my inverter. On the panel I already set the MaxImportCurrent to 50A. But nothing changed. There is no "MaxImportPwr" on the panel. I phoned the FoxESS Hotline but they could not help me, because they could not find a setting wich would fix the behaviour.
My FW version is:
Version_Master:1.28
Version_Slave:1.00
Version_ARM:1.16
Any help is appreciated.
Regards
Markus
It may be your inverter is throttling do to an import limit, check your inverter Settings at the panel in On-Grid, Export Control, ImportLimitPwr should be at least 30,000, and ImportLimitCur is 100A.
Hi Dave,
thanks for your reply. Yes that's exactly what it looks like. A throotling to keep a hidden limit.
I tried to find the setting. But on the panel there is no ImportLimitPwr under the Export Control menu. There is only the ImportLimitCur.
Is it possible that this setting is only visible after a full power-off cycle? The firmware was updated 3 months ago.

It may be that Fox haven’t added it to the H3G2 as they have with the KH, it was always strange that they had both power and current limits when it only needed one of them.
Is your ImportLimitCur set to 100A ?
I am seeing latest Master as 1.33 and ARM as 1.22, as these are quite new inverters so I think it is worth getting the firmware updated.

Hi Dave,
Yes ImportLimitCur set to 100A. But the throttling still exists. The support told me that the newer FW version is only for UK not for Germany.
It seems i have to open a ticket at the FoxESS Support. Do you have a contact at FoxESS to ask about this throttling behavior / missing setting in the inverter.
Thank you.
Markus

Now i found it.
The Import Power Limit set to 10kW
and the "Grid Point Power Limit" is set to 12kW
I'll set it correctly via HA dev tools.
Thank you very much! Great community here. Found a fix for my issue. Vendor and Installer failed to do so.
