Re: ModBus connector?
Strange that, at the inverter, the blue and white and the blue should both be wired into the connector if they only connect one of them at the other end? I assume both the brown and white and the brown where both wired in, but those were the free-flying ones when I opened it up. Any road up, I think ...

Re: ModBus connector?
I've just had a look at the CT clamp and found this (see pictures).
Really poor pictures, really hard to get any kind of good picture.
Doesn't help much, I think.

Re: ModBus connector?
I shut down the inverter to fiddle with the connector and then restarted it. I've also reset the ctclamp setting on the menu that you spoke about too, not that it had become disabled.

Re: ModBus connector?
Ok, the wire is firmly connected but I'm still not seeing feed-in or grid consumption power. The wire I've "firmly connected" is the one of the twisted pair that still has copper showing. Would it be sensible to assume that they only connected the other one of that pair at the other end, or should I ...

Re: ModBus connector?
Was still enabled. I'll have a look at the wiring, I expect I've jolted it. It's a very hard connector to open up to have such flimsy wires inside it. I re-purposed regular 13amp cable for the connection between it and the Elfin. It's a nuisance as it stands, but is it a problem? Just wondering if ...

Re: ModBus connector?
Having switched back on the figures (still from the Fox website) seem wrong. Load power is showing as around 10W shy of PV Power, currently nearly 3kW and I don't think anything like that is actually being consumed, and Feedin Power is showing as zero, although the batteries are at 100%. Does that ...

ModBus connector?
I'm just wiring in an Elfin EW11 to my H1-5 inverter.. Although difficult I've managed to open up the connector and, contrary to the picture shown in Nathan Marlor's (excellent) guide the existing wire has only one connection, to pin 7. There's another wire in there but it's not connected to ...

Re: Adding batteries
Thanks for that Dave, really helpful to have it all in one place. No, I don't have agent access, and given there's just been a firmware update (hasn't there?) then I'll contact FoxESS to update them all. Are the dip switches just an old idea that's no longer needed? And, does turning off the AC to ...

Adding batteries
I'm adding three HV2600s to my existing three. I hear rumour of a "how to" video for this but can't find anything. Can someone give me a link? I s'pose it looks fairly straightforward. I've got the additional length cable pack so I can make two stacks instead of one and the manual showing what to ...

Re: Is it too early in the year to expect full output from my panels?
Thanks for that Alan. I noticed that icon recently (it is fairly new, isn't it?) but hadn't pressed it.
I'm happy with self-use, certainly for the moment. Bit upset to hear that I might not be able to self-identify as a power station though

Re: Is it too early in the year to expect full output from my panels?
I've not seen anywhere to switch between self-use and feed-in, not that I want to. Out of interest, where is that?

Re: Is it too early in the year to expect full output from my panels?
Thanks both. Yup, I can see the sense of the "oversizing" of the panel output. Dave, charging the batteries has priority over export, doesn't it? That's certainly what I think I'm seeing. Excess after the batteries have fully charged also goes to the hot water by the iBoost before export too I ...

Is it too early in the year to expect full output from my panels?
We had 16 x 385 Watt JA solar panels with a 5 kW (H) - 1P FoxESS Inverter - H1 Series installed last September. They're on a 39 degree sloped roof at 25 degrees off due south, unshaded (by this stage of the year). Am I being optimistic to expect the full 6.16 kW out of them? According to the FoxESS ...

Re: Export to excel
Not quite "export to Excel", but you can get data from the FoxESS website. Set up the bottom panel of the inverter display with the metrics you want the data for and, before you press "search" (or pick a date) open the web developer tools on your browser (if you're using FireFox it's ctrl-shift-i ...
