I've got a setup with H3 inverter, ECS 4300 battery and L-Series EV charger. It's almost a fine setup. What I am aiming for is maximum autonomy of my house. This currently fails because of lack of control over the EV charger. For autonomy I need these requirements to be matched:
  • only charge the car if PV and/or battery can support the load without using the grid
  • never discharge the battery beyond a point, that I'd have to use the grid over night weather; obviously the minimum SOC for charging depends on the remaining daylight hours and weather
To do so I must be able to start and stop EV charging. I also must be able to configure charging current, and maybe even to select number of phases.

Unfortunately I could not find any such API in the OpenAPI documentation. Also it seems that the L-Series doesn't support the open OCPP standard.

Does anyone know if there is any open API one could use for controlling L-Series chargers? If so, could it be added to the OpenAPI documentation? Or is there even planed to add OCPP support the the L-Series, as there is for the A-Series chargers?

Thanks for information.
