Ok script written, you just need an API key from the v1 website and then plug it into simple.py all the settings are at the top, wasn't sure what wattage you wanted to import/export at so set to 5000 (5kW)
https://github.com/evilbunny2008/FreePo ... /simple.py
You also need a copy of my modified version of openapi.py
https://github.com/evilbunny2008/FreePo ... openapi.py
Depending on your OS you then just need to execute simple.py
I greatly reduced the libraries used so it should in theory work on any OS python does.
Thanks very much for this!
I will first wait to see what reply I get from Fox and, in the meantime, re-teach myself how to run Python scripts - very rusty!
Is there any danger of this invalidating the warranty or damaging the inverter?
Cheers

I don't see how as it doesn't directly do anything to your inverter/battery, it all goes through Fox ESS servers just like their app and their web portals.london2000 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 28, 2026 11:20 am Is there any danger of this invalidating the warranty or damaging the inverter?
