Ok script written, you just need an API key from the v1 website and then plug it into simple.py all the settings are at the top, wasn't sure what wattage you wanted to import/export at so set to 5000 (5kW)
https://github.com/evilbunny2008/FreePo ... /simple.py
You also need a copy of my modified version of openapi.py
https://github.com/evilbunny2008/FreePo ... openapi.py
Depending on your OS you then just need to execute simple.py
I greatly reduced the libraries used so it should in theory work on any OS python does.
Thanks very much for this!
I will first wait to see what reply I get from Fox and, in the meantime, re-teach myself how to run Python scripts - very rusty!
Is there any danger of this invalidating the warranty or damaging the inverter?
Cheers

I don't see how as it doesn't directly do anything to your inverter/battery, it all goes through Fox ESS servers just like their app and their web portals.london2000 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 28, 2026 11:20 am Is there any danger of this invalidating the warranty or damaging the inverter?
Just a brief update to let you know my scheduling problem is now sorted. It was something that Fox had to resolve at their end. I raised a ticket late Friday afternoon and received an email reply from Fox at 06:30 h yesterday (Monday) seeking a bit more information. I provided that and by 11:30 h the problem was fixed - I was able to successfully schedule a partial forced discharge for yesterday afternoon and then a forced charge in the early hours of this morning.
Thank you to David Foster and Evilbunny for their determined attempts to resolve my issues. The solution seems to have been outside the end user's control - in their email Fox suggested that a third party (Octopus?) might have had control and was overwriting settings. Therefore, although I was unsuccessful in registering my EVO 10 5-H for Intelligent Flux, it's possible that Octopus still gained some control, despite me removing the device from the Octopus setup screen.
