PV-linkage mode FoxESS A011KS1-E-2 Wallbox 11 kW with foxESS 1K5-HI-12-V1 12 kW hybridinverter(rebranded 1komma5)
Hello,

I recently purchased a FoxESS Series A Socket EV charger, and I also have a 1KOMMA5° (rebranded FoxESS) hybrid inverter with a battery. Both the charger and the inverter are connected to the internet via LAN and Wi-Fi.

I would like to enable the “PV linkage” function on the EV charger, but when I activate it, I immediately get an error and the charger turns red. If I disable PV linkage, the charger works normally.

The problem is that without PV linkage, the system does not operate optimally with my solar panels. The EV charger is then only recognized as a normal load, which also causes my battery to be drained when charging the car.

Has anyone experienced this issue, and is there a solution to get PV linkage working correctly with the FoxESS hybrid inverter + battery setup?

Thanks in advance!

Have you wired a cable between the charger and inverter using the correct pins before you enabled it?

Thanks for the feedback.
I have already tried parallel wiring between my DTSU666, the inverter (1K5-HI-12-V1 / 1komma5) and the EV charger.
I tested all RJ45 pairs for RS485 A/B, except the brown pair, and swapped polarity each time. I still get the “Abnormal communication” error.

I also tested direct connection on the inverter’s METER RJ45 port – no effect.(the inverter is connected to the dtsu666 through the com port)

What confuses me is that the manual shows a 2-wire COM port on the charger for RS485, but on my A011KS1-E-A-WO version the only port available is RJ45.
• Does anyone know if this variant requires a different pinout?
• Or is there a way to hard reset the charger to clear communication errors?

Any guidance from others who have set up PV-linkage with this model would be much appreciated.

I know that when I was chatting with my fox contact in the UK this week he said there was better pv link support coming in a near future update.

Thanks for the update.
I found the ModBus RTU. And it works when I connect it directly with the smart meter but not in conjunction with my inverter and solar. So no real use…
