I have an old gen 1 inverter. The spec sheet says a maximum of 4 batteries, yet it also states a battery voltage range of 85-450. I currently have 4xHV2600. Can I add another one?
Just to check it’s an H1 gen 1 (and not an AIO) you have ?
If it’s an H1 you can add up to 7 batteries - the big question do you have V1 or V2 Hv2600 batteries ?. The V1 is no longer available but occasionally comes up for sale on eBay - the V2 is still readily available.
You can add a V2 to a V1 system but it’s a lot of messing, you have to change the BMS to a V2 version and in all honesty mixed packs are never as good as singles.

Ok, your obviously limited by space but i’ve heard of people adding extra batteries externally to the cabinet - i’ve just never seen it myself.
