Powering Elfin EW11 from H1-3.7-E-G2
Hi,
Is there anyway to get a power connection from the above inverter for an Elfin EW11 mobus to Wi-fi converter? My inverter and battery are on the outside of the house quite a way from any power outlets.

I've read the USB isn't reliable for power but think the WiFi data logger for the cloud connection is using that already in any case.

Seems mad I can't get a 5v 1a feed out of all that lovely new kit.

TIA

No sadly there isn’t a dc supply on the inverter that will run this, the majority of Elfin users use a 12V 1A DC power supply.

You can locate the Elfin well away from the inverter, the RS485 bus can be extended over distance so it just needs a cat5/6 cable running from the inverter to wherever you plan to install your home assistant or have a suitable power point and have the Elfin there.

OK, thanks, I didn't really want to be running yet more cable round the house but if that's the only option.... don't need a WiFi adapter if I'm going to run cable I guess.

Seems a bit of a miss from Fox, I gather the H3 models do have power available via the connector.
