Hi. I'm new to solar power, as of yesterday and have been perusing the app. Battery reserve capacity is set to 20%, but can be changed. The instructions say it must be higher than the system min SOC, set to 10%, so is there any reason for not setting it to 11%, please? Pros and cons?
If you have EPS fitted (i.e. the ability to power critical loads when the grid fails), then your battery reserve should be higher than minSoC to reserve a small amount of battery power.
If you don’t have EPS fitted it should be set the same as MinSoC in which case 10% for both is perfectly normal.
