Hi, day 2 in the world of solar, my costs for the first 3 days without solar working were about £2.76 about 10 kWh per day. I have Fox battery and trying to use the Fox cloud 2.o app. I understand that on SelfUse the solar should feed the house then the battery than export any left? on the first day which was only 12 hours I have used 23.8kWh and today, first full day, 29.00kWh. Can someone please explain the logic in this. I just need the battery NOT to charge from the grid, until I sort out a new electricity tariff so can top it up at a cheaper night rate. I have looked at the app a poor UX with little help for a novice. If I am doing something wrong great if it’s not set up properly I just need to understand so I can go back to the company who installed it.
I have been told that the CT clamp needs reversing! Hopefully that gets the thing working in the right direction.
They are coming out today to fix, but would have expected this to be deployed first time round not 3rd time, the user experience has been poor and will be complaining to Glow Green. This will hopefully allow me to stop the battery being charged from the grid.
Tell your installer that if they had updated your system to the latest firmware and learnt the product, they could have software flipped the ct under the installer settings without the need to visit you again:lol:

Yes totally agree, it couldn't have been tested correctly in the first place - the only thing to add is that the Fox kit is very good and hopefully once this is fixed your experience will improve.Tch098 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 07, 2025 11:09 am They are coming out today to fix, but would have expected this to be deployed first time round not 3rd time, the user experience has been poor and will be complaining to Glow Green. Thanks hopefully the system will start to show benefits after today, they did suggest that I change it very easy, but they can drive 100 miles and fix the issues, that’s what I am paying for.
CTs being the wrong way around (or on the wrong tail) seems to be the most common problem post-install on the reddit forum I frequent. Regardless of manufacturer.
Seems like something which should be easy for the installers to check before they leave, just stick the kettle on and see what the inverter says ...

Yes I agree, they have returned took 10 seconds to change and reboot and check, will watch closely over the next few sunny days here to see improvement. Thanks for the feedback on this topic.
