Hello All,
I have H1 Hybrid inverter (no hub, US Series) with a battery. I also have AC coupled (enphase) solar system. I have had the solar feeding through the inverter for a year now and just got the battery hooked up. The inverter will successfully read the Solar power using the single solar CT, but I have the grid shows zero always. This means I can not use Self Use mode. Mandatory mode works and I can successfully charge and discharge the battery. I also have a consumption meter (enphase) on the grid power so can confirm when I am pulling or pushing power to the grid.
I have seen a few places that sometimes the CTs need enabled, but I can just determine where that is in the new Cloud 2.0 app. One setting that I did find in R&D (other) -> Grid CT communication check. That was enabled, but the solar CT communication check was disabled. So I disabled the grid one too, not sure if maybe I need to power cycle the inverter now? Unfortunately I have not found a simple setting to enable/disable.
I swapped the two grid CTs in the solar input and both showed power flowing in the app so I know that they work. It just seems the inverter isn't reading them.
My inverter software version is in an attached image as well.
Can someone help me out? Thanks
The US series is slightly different connectivity than we have here in Europe but the fundamental operation is the same.
The main CT (CT1) should be fitted on the main incoming live (hot) feed so that it can see all flow into or out of the house, but as you have a second solar system providing power there should be a second CT (CT2) clamp monitoring the output from the Enphase solar system (again on the live feed from it).
With those 2 clamps in place the system will be able to calculate load, grid use and solar generation from the Enphase system. The CT enable settings are available in the inverter Settings, Feature menu item you should see Meter/CT and Meter2/CT2 when 2 CT’s have been installed both should be enabled in the settings.
If you have installer/ agent access in the app you would also be able to see/modify those - but from the looks of it your app is set to user mode which does not provide this access.

Hey Dave,
I do have installer access (self install) so have the whole settings. For whatever reason my settings only allow me to enable and disable the solar CT. I am putting in an official support request, I am hoping I have old software.
In the US we actually have 3 CTs. One for solar and then 2 for our split phase 240 AC system. We have circuits that run only on one phase (120Vac) so the current between phases can be unequal. Either way I am 100% certain the CTs function and are wired correctly.
