Wifi dongle issues causing inverter to "freeze" and battery error
Hi all

Me and my wife have just bought a house that cane with a fox inverter and battery set up. Seems to be doing well and so far helping keep the bills down.

I was really keen to get the app working and after a good chunk of researching found I needed to purchase a WiFi dongle. The couple who lived here were quite elderly and didn't have a dongle installed, only a connect from ethernet directly to the router via an extender.

I got the WiFi dongle through today and installed it. Straight away the inverter wouldn't let me cycle through the menu and the battery light started flashing red. I isolated the system, checked WiFi connections and restarted. Everything seemed to be working and I got a live feed from the app. After about an hour I noticed the app was vastly different to what was on the smart meter. Went and checked and battery was flashing red again alongside the inverter menu being frozen. Performed another reset and the same thint after another hour. I've unplugged the WiFi dongle and waiting to see if this has solved it.

I don't suppose anyone could shed any light on what might be causing the issue?

Update: with the wifi dongle unplugged i haven't had any problems. Is there a reason that the wifi dongle is causing the error above?
