Grid Compensation Bias

After I had my system for a week or so I noticed that the grid was constantly supplying a few W, about 10% of load during the night when I had no solar but lots of battery power available (>60-80%). I read up on these forums and educated myself about the inverter having a built-in bias towards trickle import rather than export. I thought adjusting the compensation bias would help with this so that throughout the night the battery provided the entire load for the house and the inverter was set to export a small amount rather than import.

I contacted my installer who made the request to fox who have confirm this is now in place.

However, I have now noticed the reverse of what I expected! When there is no solar, the battery provides no power to the house unless there is a spike in usage (i.e. kettle boiling, dishwasher, oven etc.). The 'background' usage of >0.5kW is all provided by the grid.

Is it possible that Fox could have adjusted the compensation bias 'the wrong way' - Is this possible? What setting should I ask them to change. It is a little frustrating that this sort of setting cannot be adjusted by the end user. Is there a 'secret installers menu' that I could access to change this sort of thing?

yes, very possible the didn't put the - in front of the number most people need -50 for a negative 50-watt push back.
Your installer should be doing this themselves and not going via fox.
