I have had a problem with my installation and today the installer has visited and rectified the problem. However when speaking to Fox it became apparent that the inverter firmware was not up to date and has been remotely updated. My question is how do I know that the firmware for the inverter and the battery is up to date? How do Fox ensure that that the firmware is up to date ?
Many thanks

Your installer should be checking and updating as needed. Installer accounts have an extra firmware management tab and it takes seconds to click a button and push updates down.
I would personally say your installer should have checked firmware before even contacting fox. Sadly some installers think their job is to install hardware and not look after the software side.
I made a video of what us installers have to do if you're interested:

Thanks for the reply Will. I understand but I think thereby lie's a problem for FOX as it seems that installers are not checking that firmware is upto to date as I found out out yesterday. I have recently retired from a very large manufacturer of construction equipment and they do a remote blanket firmware update when it is required. They are then in total control and can ensure that there equipment is up to date. They do not rely on there distribution network to do it for them. I also believe that the automotive industry do the same and it is something that FOX should adopt.
