Charge connector or new inverter?
I everyone.
I have an F5000 inverter and 15x 430w Eurener panels(6.45kwh TIC). I’m looking to buy either two fox EP5 5.18kwh batteries or a single EP11 10.36kwh battery. I’ve been made aware that I will possibly need a new inverter, as my current inverter is not compatible with batteries. I have also been told that the F5000 inverter can be made battery ready with a charge controller. What does this mean? And would that mean that I could hook an EP5/11 to a F5000 with a Charge controller?
Thank you.

Re: Charge connector or new inverter?
So you can simply add another hybrid inverter with the batteries, and it will use the ct to sense export and automatically charge from the surplus solar power. This is a simpler installation but it works well and is referred to as AC-coupled batteries.

That being said, if you replace your F5000 with a KH or H1-Gen2 you would benefit from being able to dc to dc to charge the batteries which is slightly more efficient. We're talking 1 or 2 % better so it all depends on the location of your F5000 if you could simply replace it with room for the batteries.
