Hi all. Newbie here with an App problem that somebody may be able and willing to help me with...
For the last few days, my FoxCloud 2 app has been displaying 'Offline / Off Grid and nothing I have tried will get it to go online. From the app I can generate up to the minute data reports but I can't get real time data to show,
The 'dongle' is flashing slow red with occasional green, it has an IP address assigned by my router and it shows up as a connected device on my router. I have logged out an in several times to no avail.
Am I missing something very simple? All/any help gratefully received. Thanks

If you log into the Foxesscloud website, do the real time stats look ok there?
If they do i’d be tempted to completely delete the app, and re-install to see if that clears it.

Thanks...
The FoxCloud website has me totally perplexed and whilst I can sign in to it, I can't get it to do anything???
I'll delete the app and try again with that but I'm thinking the inverter and dongle will be asleep now so I'll wait for daylight again.

Sorted after a fashion...
... app deleted, re-installed and on line but looking at the 'day/month/year/lifetime' data within the app suggests that no data has been captured for the days the app has not been working.
Generating a data report for the month of February (presumably from data held externally from the app) gives me data in three minute intervals for every day in the month including the days when the app was malfunctioning.
Thanks Dave Foster for your help.

Hi, I have a similar issue as of about 7pm this evening. Fox App says Offline/Off Grid and all the real-time stats are at zero. The graph shows data until 19:08 this evening.
When I log into the Fox Cloud website it is also reporting my system as Offline.
However, when I go and access the panel on the inverter it appears to be working fine. It is able to force charge and discharge as I would expect. I have checked some calls into the OpenAPI and it seems to respond to being set to force charge or Self Use etc but it is not reporting the current SoC correctly - it just reports the SoC value that was correct at 19:08 when the stats stopped updating.
I have tried reinstalling the app and it’s just the same. I have also tried v1 of the app and it is also the same.
The dongle is flashing red (which I think(?) is normal?!)
Is it worth power-cycling the dongle? Can I just unplug/replug it?
Any ideas?
Many thanks.

I reckon it's a Fox app issue, my system went offline at exactly the same time. I've checked the inverter and it's still working. I'm new to this so don't know how these things get resolved. Hopefully it'll be back on in the morning?

Fox are aware of the issue and working to resolve. https://monitor.foxesscommunity.com/
Mine went offline around then too. Hadn't seen this post so submitted my own one describring the same problem.
Would be great if the service status page (https://monitor.foxesscommunity.com/status/foxess) was easier to find! A google search got me nowhere; only just seen the admin post above.
Maybe ask Downdetector to add FoxESS?
