Hi all I have purchased a battery to add to my 8.7Kwh battery system one master and two slaves that was installed earlier in the year. I am looking at the dip switch setting and it is currently set to 0 which I am almost certain that this is incorrect and it should be set to 1. Once I install the new battery I think this should be then set to 2. I am just a bit paranoid as I assume that my installer should know what to set the dip switch to and would not get this wrong. Can anyone confirm that I am correct and that the current setting is incorrect. I have attached a screen shot of the current setting and the postions from the install manual.

The V2 ECS batteries now auto-negotiate at startup to find the number of slaves fitted.
You should leave the dip switch set to zero and once you have fitted the new battery it will resolve the number of batteries itself when you power it on for the first time.

Hi Dave
Thanks for the explanation and taking the time to reply it all makes sense now. I have left this set at zero and added the new battery everything is working and as you have said the system did recognise the new slave battery.
Regards Peter
