Is there a guide to using the mobile app somewhere?
Particularly explaining the home schematic.

It says a negative load is shown if there is other generation equipment in my home, which there isn't.
Does that mean I'm exporting 0.88kW to the grid from my battery?

I set my battery to import from the grid between 2am and 5am.
I wasn't able to to set it to export from 4pm to 7pm but contacted Fox and they said they had done it for me.
At 1.26 am this morning the App showed my battery was at 99%.
How can this happen if I've exported for 3 hours between 4 pm to 7pm presumably depleting my battery and then using the grid to supply my evenings energy.
I would have expected a battery nearly empty waiting to charge up at cheap rates 2am to 5am!

If you have a negative load and no external generation - you either have the CT clamp located in the wrong place, or it is orientated the wrong way round.

i’m guessing this is a new install - so the best option is to contact your installer and let them know there is a problem with the CT clamp.

FYI the CT clamp is a current measuring device that should be fitted at the smart meter on the live feed to the house - it allows the inverter to measure the amount of load the house is consuming and so balance it’s load correctly.

It is polarised so if fitted the wrong way round it will not work correctly (and display a negative load) - the CT clamp is a white box approx 2.5cm square with a black cable - it is simply a cable transducer and can be unclipped and turned through 180 degrees fairly easily if you can locate it to prove this. But as I said you are working near live feeds so you might want your installer to address this.

Dave
Thank you so much for your help.
The day after the solar was installed Octopus came and installed a smart meter.
The guy commented on the work done by the installers and made some modifications when fitting the smart meter.
Would he have cause to move or change the CT clamp?

The white box has a very bold arrow printed on it so I'm assuming it's been fitted correctly 🤷‍♂️

Yes he would have unclipped the CT clamp when he replaced the meter - it is reading so i’m guessing he has clipped it back on to the right cable but the wrong way round, your photo confirms that.

The arrow should be pointing towards the grid i.e. its facing the wrong way round - if you prise open that clip the clamp will open and you can turn it round - wait 5 minutes then check your load is now showing correctly.

Many thanks again
I found a photograph from the installation before the smart meter was installed, as you say it's now facing the other way.
I've asked Octopus to come and fix it ASAP
