Good morning
I have the below Meter
i was hoping to use this to (instead of a CT clamp)
Have wired up and selected the meter
seems to no error and if i unplug the meter (just to test on another spur) it seems to error
when i switch on it seems to start discharging at over 2KW
and cannot for th life of me figure out why
i checked to make sure they were not wired the wrong way (there not as if i reverse the 485 connection it bring un connecton error to the invertor)
so i think this is done correctly
but cannot figure out why
thanks
martin
(have i ordered the wrong one)

That is the correct meter for a single phase inverter and from what you have said the comms side is wired correctly.
The fact that it goes straight to discharge makes me think you have wired in the meter the wrong way round, not the RS485 pair they have to be fitted A>A, and B>B but the live and neutral should be wired the other way round as the meter appears to be reading the reverse value.
The meter measures power flow in and out depending on where you connect the live / neutral if you reverse those connections it will flip the reading and you should be good to go.
