Good day I am from South Africa and we just installed the 5kW inverter and battery system. We had a issue with the geyser draining the battery power during the day (we have loadshedding in South africa and need the battery high for when the power goes out). We changed the battery reserve to 75% so they geyser will only draw from the battery till 75% then from the grid... so our battery stays high rather than drop to low.
My question is now at night will the battery with this new setting only allow us to use battery at night till 75% and then will it go on the grid? I don't want that, we want to run on the battery all night. Do I have to change the setting at night for battery reserve back down to 10%? will the geyser then drain the battery at night?

Yes when it gets to the battery reserve it will switch to grid use which is not what you want.
You would need to change the battery reserve to 75% during the day and then change it back to 10% during the evening - depending on your inverter and whether it has the latest firmware you should have access to schedules which would allow you to automate the change i.e. set a time period of 07:00-17:00 minSoC 75%, then 17:01-06:59 minSoC 100%
