No spare RS485 port?

I've just had an install of an H1 5.0 E inverter + batteries and looking at getting it into HA. What I think is the correct port to hook up to, is already taken and goes into the meter. They've installed a WiFi dongle for connection to Fox Cloud, which I'm assuming I can't use to poll directly from? Am I out of options here to get live data into HA?

The RS485 is wired into the same 'port' as the meter/CT connections.
You have to be careful as the CT cables are fine multi core and often break but the cables are held by screw terminals so really easy to re-fit.

That's good to know, thank you. I'll talk to the installer and see if they can do it. Would this work? My power source is going to be PoE and I can't find the Waveshare model suggested in stock anywhere in the UK: https://thepihut.com/products/rs232-485 ... net-module

They seem to come and go from stock, but you can find one here

Thank you, this worked a treat and up and running in HA. I also have another inverter (F3000) and panels that isn't connected to the H1. I assume that I need to do the same thing for this one to get it to report generation into HA?
