Hello:
I have a KH10.5 inverter wtih solar and batteries. I run my entire house load from the EPS output (though the system is grid-tied as one would expect).
I noticed a setting, under the Settings > Feature > Low Power, where I can choose to turn on "Low Power". It is not on now, and I'd like to get an idea of what it does before trying it! Anyone know? It's not mentioned in the most recent manual I can find which is v1.2.
Next, I'm still foggy on the choice I have between having my EPS set to "EPS" mode compared to "UPS" mode (under Settings > Off-Grid > EPS Output): I have it in UPS mode now. As it is, if the mains goes out (or turned off for a test) it auto-switches to battery very quickly (though my actual UPS device for some local server computers does go on battery for a moment to smooth it over).
My inverter is using about 200 watts continuously, which would be nice to reduce, at least at some times, if possible without losing the functionality I now enjoy.

(Notes, I recently got my first software update which took me from manager 1.11 to 1.16 and master 1.16 to 1.25 ('slave' did not change from 1.01).

I'm aware the latest version of H3 (3 phase) inverter has a higher inverter usage which requires a downgrade to correct but I haven't heard of this being a problem on the KH series - 200W does seem a little bit high, but it depends where you are measuring it and what load it is under when you see it (at higher loads it consumes more power but it becomes more efficient )
On the firmware those are the latest versions for the KH series.
Sorry I can't help on the Low Power mode, hopefully there may be a few KH users on here that know what that does (you could always try it and see what happens )

It uses about 200 watts when the house load is about 500 watts. This is when there is no solar generation and the grid is connected, but not being used for supply or charging (so I'm running from battery). I'm looking at the difference between the power drawn out of the battery (in watts, about 700) and the amount of power the house loads are drawing (500). I does vary though, I think I have seen it be lower than that.
For 30 minutes each night I have the inverter draw house load from the grid (but not charge). During that time house load = grid load pretty much, but the battery is powering the inverter to the tune of 80 to 100 watts. I then start charging the batteries at midnight because I like all the battery charging to happen on the same 'day' to replenish the power used the day before.

follow-up question:
regarding firmware parts - am I correct that Manager = inverter's software, Master = main battery (BMS) software, Slave = all the other batteries' software?

The BMS and batteries have their own s/w versions. The main inverter firmware has three components (Master, Slave, Manager) that can be updated indpendently.
