Inverter restarting when exporting

Hi,

I have a Fox 10.5 that has been working for a few months, but export power has been set to 0W to prevent export. Now that local authority has given approval to export customer wants to export. However, the moment settings are changed to allow export customer reports that appliances goes on and of briefly at 5 minute intervals.

Inverter shows "Fault" and then "EPS mode" on the screen when this happens.

Once export is limited again, the problem stops. Any advice would be appreciated.

I haven’t heard of that before but can you check what the Error Logs report (at the inverter panel in History, Event Logs), it sounds as if the inverter is failing on one of the safety parameters - voltage / frequency outside of tolerance (or a ground fault) which is causing it to fall back to EPS mode.

The error logs should show what caused the inverter to disconnect - there is likely to be a few recorded together as one error will cause the grid to be lost etc.. - it’s the first event that tripped it.

Hi Dave

I have exaclty the same issue. The faults are always the same:
Frequence fault, followed by
Voltage fault, followed by
No Utility.
All the the same time stamp.

Has there been any other feedback re this issue?

Firmware vers: June 2024.
10.5 Hybrid, SP.

That suggests your local grid frequency / voltage are outside of the safety params and are being exceeded when you are exporting.

Use the Fox website and in the lower graph select the params RVolt and RFreq for a day where this has happened - if you could post them here so we can see the traces.

Can you also confirm your locale / country as these parameters change across Europe.
