Hi Will

I presume this is a newer version of the manual than the one that came with my new V2.0 HV2600's received last week?

The manual version number that came with each of the NEW V2.0 batteries is V1.0, yours is V3.0!

The 'slightly' disturbing thing is that on pages 6 and 7 the pin configurations for the RS485-1 and RS485-2 ports are completely different in the two vesrsions.

As I will be adding (when I receive a V 2.0 BMS) Version 2.0 batteries to my existing Version 'C' battery stack, is this a worry or should I just ignore it? It is perhaps the case that one of the brochures was, and still is, incorrect?

It would be useful to know if anyone has already successfully installed a V2.0 BMS with a mixture of old Version 'C/D' batteries and new V2.0 batteries.

I'm pretty sure the manual will be the same. The battery works in the same way, same wiring, same internals. Just a slightly different coms chip.

For Information:

I have just fitted the V2.0 BMS free issue from FOX and the two new V2.0 HV2600's. Spoke to Matt at FOX who told me that the two new V2.0 battery modules MUST be the first modules wired AFTER the BMS OR THE ASSEMBLY WILL NOT WORK (ie if the older Version C batteries were the ones immediately after the new V2.0 BMS).

Ran my old modules down to ~50% (47% actually - the voltage for both versions was then around 52V) then fitted them as above and everything worked fine. There was a short period when the inverter reported the battery pack "Idle" which worried me a bit - I hadn't seen this mode before - but everything then went to "Normal" (we were using more than was being generated at the time).

Matt also said that I should charge the upgraded assembly to 100% to balance out the modules which I have done for a couple of nights now.

Delighted - looking forward to when we get an air source heat pump and I will probably fit a further 3 modules (8 modules total) to cover the increased daytime load.
