Hi,
My inverter is far from my general energy meter so it’s impossible to get the global Energy consumption to the inverter using the provide clamp.
I see 3 possible options:
1. Extend the clamp cable - I’m afraid noise or signal loss can make this solution to not work;
2. Use some kind of wireless meter that can be connected to both ends, inverter and network meter - do you have any suggestions?
3. Connect to a shelly/home assistant to get the consuption data to the inverter. Any experience on this?
Or other solution I’m missing?
Best regards,
Pedro Viana
Wireless meter? Or getting consumption from Home Assistant or Shelly EM?
Are you doing your own install?
It's not possible to do with with HA. You can extend the wires (for some loss of accuracy but it's not the end of the world - there are stories of people doing it on the Facebook group). Alternatively, then inverter supports installing an RS485-capable electricity meter, and wiring that to the inverter, which will allow support for long distances without loss of accuracy.

Hi,
Thanks for the advice.
I had a really hard time getting the wires through… but after 3hours I succeeded.
The meter is now working nicely for what I can understand.
Later I will compare the readings with the ones from my Shelly EM.
Best regards,
Pedro
