Having signed up to Axle (grid events only) I set the max discharge to 5kW but have never seen more than 4.6kW being sent to the grid during an event - and typically it is less....today for example my battery was at 70% and the house load was minimal at 600W, my inverter can supply 7kW and yet the export rate was only 4.62kWh
Battery export etc is set to maximum, my G99 agreement is for 5kW ..... the inverter max export is actually set to 18kW but with only 6kW of PV it wil;l obviously never get there
Have I missed somethimg

The max discharge is the maximum output power the inverter will run at, so any house load (and losses) have to be covered first and the remainder will be sent to the grid.
Your maximum output ‘may’ also be limited by your batteries as the BMS controls output current depending on both soc and temperature. On higher voltage batteries such as the EP12 these effects are less obvious (and limiting) unless it is very cold.

Battery temps shouldn't be an issue today, likewise as mentioned the house load was minimal so I would have expected the export to have been higher

Can't answer your question but can confirm I see the exact same thing with Axle events. I too have discharge set to 5KW and generally see about 4.6 exported.

I have a 3.90kW export limit via DNO, inverter is set to this value.
Axle is set to 7kW export, with 10% min SoC.
I see 99% of the events export 3.92kWh, with just one at 3.20kWh
So check that you are not rate limiting on your Axle settings, and on your inverter. If they are both correct, then it could be down to local grid Voltages / home load / low battery temperatures.

definitely not low battery temp
Axle set to 7kW (not that it will ever get that high)
inverter set to 18kW - again not that it can possibly ever get that high

Next time and event is scheduled, take a look at the mode scheduler for the Axle programmed event in FoxCloud2.0 App.
If that is also correctly set to 7kW (or higher) then it could be local grid Voltage.
You could login to the website and inspect various values during the last event.
