I'm in bit of a confusion on the correct steps to restart fox ess H3 10 inverter. I have 15.6KW solar and EQ4800 battery. My installer has stuck the procedure as per the attached photo which says to turn off AC isolator first but as per the video I've watched in YouTube on iameccles channel it says:
1. Turn off DC isolator
2. AC isolator
3. Turn off battery
I'd really appreciate some expert advice here. I've had to do the reset twice already so wanna make sure I'm doing it right. Also, my apology if it's been discussed already here in the forum coz my quick search didn't bring any results relating to it. Thank you.

Thanks ya that's the exact video I'm referring to in my initial post. So, that is the correct way and the sticker my installer stuck on my inverter is incorrect? Coz I've been following that video and turning off DC isolator in my inverter first, then the AC isolator and then the battery.MaterialBarracuda48 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 01, 2026 11:04 am Here is a video from Will

I have been AFK for a while, but taken from my set of instructions left
Shut-Down Sequence – (Switch OFF)
1. Turn OFF the PV supply at the consumer unit (3).
2. Turn OFF the AC isolator at the consumer unit (3).
3. Switch the AC Isolator at the inverter to OFF (2).
4. Switch the DC Isolators at the Inverter to OFF
Step 5. is missing on mine, but the battery is turned off
Reverse for power on cycle.

I was told to turn off AC first, always.
And when turning back on the order doesn't matter so much.
The justification given is that AC is lower current, and turning that off will deactivate the inverter, making it safe to switch off the DC. And switching of high current DC (either to battery or solar) while it is is use leads to the increased risk of arcing in the switch.

It doesn’t matter so much even on shutdown, the loss of AC will force the inverter to island and disconnect, turning off PV first when very sunny will reduce the dc shock to the batteries (and reduce the grid impact when you have an ATS), and finally battery off will shutdown the inverter.PenguinBrian wrote: ↑Thu Oct 01, 2026 11:22 pm I was told to turn off AC first, always.

Starting back up it should always be a dc component first, we have always recommended battery first as in winter months there may not be enough solar to power up the inverter and battery gives a reliable source.
Fox recommend AC first, but to be fair they only supplied that information 3 years late…
