Hello Forum. Hoping someone can help. In the last 6 weeks, from 9pm to 6am, my house use of power is pulling from the grid and not from my very full battery. I have attached a pic to show what I mean. I am in silent mode through the night but the times are not the same as when the draw from the grid happens. We don’t export to the grid at all so don’t think that can be an issue. Does anyone have any suggestions as to why this may be happening as would like to use my battery power through the night?

Can you post any schedules that you have set, along with your default minsoc settings - also worth double checking that the time shown on your inverter screen is correct

Heat Source - set for all day
DHW - set fro 6am to 7 am and 4pm to 5pm
Circuit 1 which is set from 6am to 10 pm
Silent Mode - set from 10pm to 4am

Your scheduler is not set to charge during the night, given that you don't charge at night currently, what happens if you set the system to 'Basic work mode: Self-use'
As it is almost 9pm when the battery goes into standby, now would be a good time to swap work modes and check. If you have the 5 second refresh of live data on your FoxCloud2.0 App, then you will see quickly if the system is discharging from the battery or not.

Hi there. Thank you. I think I am in self-use but attached a pic below. Also another chart showing how 30 mins ago power for the house is coming from the grid and not the battery

It looks like it has taken the change to the basic 'self-use' work mode.
On the power graph picture, it is as you are saying... taking power from the grid.
However, did you swap work mode at 21:23, or a little earlier?
On your home screen, where you see the house, do you have the 5 second refresh to the data?
You might also have to do a full power down and reset if the battery is not responding correctly.

I have attached a chart of when we were taking power through the night from the battery. The change to taking power from the grid instead of the battery seems to have happened on the 7th June and can’t think of anything we changed at this time do really odd.

Looking at your latest image, there is only 0.3kWh of grid power used in a 24hr period. You are always going to pull some power from the grid, there is a setting you can adjust for meter compensation.
See this post here, and set perhaps a bias of 13W of Export? ( (0.3kWh x 1000W) / 24hrs) = 12.5W average grid pull )

If you have some other days you can post graphs for, if you are unsure, they can be looked over. Do not worry too much about the grid import at night, it is the overall picture (24hrs) that you need to look at.
It could be the system needs a full power down, restart in the correct order?

Hi there.Thank you for taking the time to look at this. Absolutely happy to take 0.3 kWh from the grid over 24 hrs but since the 7th June, this is what has changed so for example yesterday , we pulled 2 kWh from the grid over 24 hrs which I thought was a bit excessive when we had lots of battery power. What do you think - see pic.

Have you done a system restart, so a full shutdown of Inverter and Battery?
Can you check on your firmware versions, are they woefully out of date?

Manager needed updating but can’t be hugely out of date as only installed last September. I am so nervous to do a system restart as not done before and worried I will mess settings and anything else up.

Thank you. Do you think pulling 2.0kwh from the grid through the night and nothing from the battery is a bit excessive when it was doing 0.3kwh a couple of months ago? Yes, it should be working as intended... in 'Self-use' work mode, it should be using that during the night, and not stopping at around 8pm/9pm (depending on when it plays up)
I would get that reboot done to cross that off the list, and check tonight/this evening after the battery usually goes to sleep, if it is providing power.
