Octopus Agile -registering on the Fox App
There is an option under work mode for Octopus Agile. I am trying to register but not clear what the first field is. It is title "Number" and the information button description is "registered number of the business".
Asking Fox AI it suggested this was the MPAN
However having entered MPAN and API key I get an error message "Code 40256, please close and reopen this page"?
Any advice appreciated Thanks

Re: Octopus Agile -registering on the Fox App
Hi there. I have tried entering my Agile account (starts with A-) and my Octopus API key in the relevant fields on the app and website. On both, I get an error - invalid number or API key.

I have Octopus Agile.

Any idea if i am doing something wrong or if there is a bug with this integration?
Re: Octopus Agile -registering on the Fox App
If you’ve just opened your agile account it can take a couple of weeks for Octopus to get everything settled. If you’re a long term user then it’s something else, it may be worth downloading another app, like EnErgy Stats or Octo-Aid (iOS) to see if the API works on those. If it works on one it should work on all.
Re: Octopus Agile -registering on the Fox App
Here is a post from a long time ago, it shows the values entered, and what it looks like if successful.

I would say that sometimes a copy and paste can go wrong, there maybe a hidden space at the end of the string when pasted in, so perhaps erase the last character and type it back in manually.
Re: Octopus Agile -registering on the Fox App
I would double check the account number and API key first. A hidden space from copy-paste can cause the same error, so typing the last few characters manually is worth trying.

Having same problem getting error message.

Can some one give me a foolproof method of getting my APi key so many instructions on web no longer work. I followed one and got this key

sk_live_F72xB0iPN9BN5gtMBqyvEl*******

This doesn't seem to be it though

Thanks

That is a legitimate Octopus API key (hopefully you added the ****** to obscure the real one)
Just remember, as mentioned, sometime copy/paste can fail, best to erase last character and re-input manually.

You pair this with your account in full like this: A-B123456C

Re: Octopus Agile -registering on the Fox App
Great I am in.

I don't seem to be able to change the amount I can specify that foxess imports and charges my battery. It's set at .2 if I try and bring down to .08p I get red error message saying range .2 to .2.

I am not sure how to load up pictures on here otherwise would load a picture

This is because you are specifying a value that is out of range, the 0.08p is less than a penny!

You might want to use the other Agile mode, and just have it pick 1-3 slots daily. So you don't have to keep adjusting the purchase price daily. You can select as many slots as you need, each slot is 30mins, so if it takes 1.5hrs to charge your battery, you need 3x slots, and it will pick the 3x cheapest automatically.

The trigger by price work mode you are trying to use.

Note how this lines up with the prices seen for Agile for the current day, difference is probably the 5% VAT.
