Hi All,
I have an ongoing issue where my normal load power is showing between -600-800 when on EPS mode. This causes all my numbers to be logged incorrectly.
I have flagged this with Fox ESS who have concluded my installer needs to come back. I have asked my installer before and they claim it is fine. Clearly it is not, and not on 2 other systems I have checked.
When on grid direct / non EPS mode, these values are also showing incorrectly by the same magnitude, for example, 30W only showing for normal load power, where the house load is around 700w.
My battery & inverter are over 10m from the switchboard so the included 10m cable would have been extended I presume. Something around the wrong way?
I was hoping Fox ESS could provide a letter but they won't.
What is the likely exact fault here?
Thanks in advance, Cheers.
Very difficult to comment without understanding the system schematics, i.e. what inverter is it, is it single or 3 phase, do you have a second solar or generation source in the house, how is the inverter wired into the grid and EPS - c/o switch etc.., where is the CT clamp/meter fitted.
Something is obviously not correct, negative load can be because the CT clamp is facing the wrong direction, or it is installed in the wrong place, or there is secondary generation not being measured correctly - it’s not good that your installer is unwilling to help, Fox support aren’t always right when viewing remotely but there is something wrong with the reported sensors and it’s a logical conclusion that there is an installation issue.
