Re: Fox ESS Error Code-1 No Utility, Error Code-26 Grid Voltage Fault, Error Code-27 Grid Frequency
You beauty!

The connections all seemed fine and well twisted together in the CT wires. However, in the settings menu the Meter/CT option was set to <disabled>. I have now changed that to <CT> and it looks like we're back in business.

Now, I will say that I have also found that the RCD (I assume - the breaker with the blue switch handle?) has also tripped a couple of times during this process and I have needed to reset it. That might be because it's faulty (and needs replacing) or, if the inverter wasn't detecting the mains and regulating the supply accordingly, then it may have been that. Might the inverter have dropped the Meter/CT setting when the AC connection tripped initially? Dunno 🤷‍♂️

Anyhoo, for now, it's all good. Monitoring.

Do you have an online 'tip jar' Dave through which I can buy you a beer or two? Thank you for your help 🙏

That’s great :) - the CT being disabled is often something that happens on newer installs just after a firmware update - never really understood why it does it on some systems and not others, I don’t think it’s connected to your power tripping but it could have been disabled by a firmware update and the restart actioned the change (it’s a one time event this happening i’ve never seen it happen more than once).

The blue switch is an MCB not an RCD so it is very possible that it is going faulty as you wouldn’t normally expect a 32A breaker to be popping like that unless you’ve got a KH7 or bigger inverter - i’d get that checked out as soon as you can, i’ve seen loose connections on them that cause arcing and that will cause real problems if not addressed.

Breaker has popped another couple of times in last 24hrs. Once remade, inverter functions normally.

As you suggest, I think it needs changing pretty sharpish ⚡️

Thanks again 🙏
Re: Fox ESS Error Code-1 No Utility, Error Code-26 Grid Voltage Fault, Error Code-27 Grid Frequency
So my installation has been fine and up and running since early April but this Sunday I did a forced charge and it tripped my switch (thanks Will for your post it helped me figure it out quickly) and today I had 3 trips already. This is the first time this has happened and I genuinely have no idea what could be causing this. I checked your recommendations re specs and from what I can tell I think it may just be the breaker that is underpowered. On the install documents they say total installed capacity is 13.79KW

I have contacted my installer in the hope they can have a look at it for me but is there anything I can do in the meantime to make sure everything is as it should be?

That 32A circuit breaker means you can charge at up to about 7.7kW less any other power that goes through the inverter. Unless you need to, I would personally recommend limiting the charge rate so it does not charge at such a high rate (it's 'kinder' to the batteries). But if you want or need to charge faster you have to up-rate that breaker and (if necessary) the gauge of the wire that connects to the inverter.

My car charger is on a 32A and my KH10.5 inverter is on a 63A.

Can I change the charge rate via the app or how do I do this?

I don't see it in the app. You can change it on the front panel or maybe (?) on the web interface. Do you have ability to change settings in the front panel? If so and you want to do it, I'll look at how to find it there for you. Or you could ask you installer to change it for you.
