Forced Discharge stopped working
I have had my Fox system for over 6 months, it has been working fine. About 2 weeks ago forced discharge stopped working. I raised a ticket with Fox UK help desk and a couple of days later it was fixed.

Last Thursday 28th it stopped again so i raised another ticket. I was contacted yesterday to say they had updated the firmware and it should now work.

Unfortunately it still doesnt work. i have notified Fox, but no response so far. I contacted the company who sold me the slave batteries and they said it could be a problem with the inverter. They told me essentially to turn everything off and sent me the FOX instructions, this didn't fix it.

The interesting this is that the phone app actually states that the system is doing forced discharge in line with the scheduler, but it isn't discharging at all. Forced charge works fine.

If anyone has any advice I'd appreciate it, I will keep trying to get a solution from Fox, but maybe I need to talk to the company who installed the inverter and intitial batteries; Soly?
Re: Forced Discharge stopped working
Have a look at this post, it's a possible reason after recent firmware updates viewtopic.php?p=12377#p12377
Re: Forced Discharge stopped working
Hi Dave,

Thanks!

Where do I find these settings?

Web app?
Phone app?
Inverter itself?

Regards,

James

You should check your G99 certificate for the correct value for export.
In my own example, 7kW inverter with a 3.9kW export limit.

Not sure he said to set your EXPORT to 6000 :o

His post below refers to setting ImportLimitPwr to match your Inverter rating.

<SNIP>

ImportLimitPwr should be set to at least your inverter max output i.e. an H1 6 it should be 6000 watts, but if you have lots of heavy loads / EV / Heat Pump - set it much higher to 15000 watts.
So your Import should match your Inverter limit (or higher if you have several 'high ticket' items, such as the mentioned EV / heat pump)

Export limit is about sending energy to the grid, and this should have a limit imposed by your DNO (grid)
An Inverter with 3.68kW of power can be installed with a G98, which is to notify the DNO that you have installed equipment, this can be done post install.

A G99 is for equipment above 3.68kW, which yours is, and should be applied pre install, so before anything is installed.

As you have had this 6 month ago, you should have gotten some paperwork that you would have sent off to your energy company to get paid for export, the limit will be on there.
