Battery not discharging

Hi all
I've recently bought a house with an installed 6kwh PV system with Fox H1 5kw inverter, and 2x HV2600 batteries. The issue I am having is the battery will not discharge, no matter what setting I use. It is sat at ~98% at all times and according to the real time data just using a constant trickle of around 18w. The rest of the system seems to work fine. I can't imagine it's a setting issue as I've changed all of them.
The LED lights on the BMS box seem to indicate "slave control lost fault", i.e. all 4 are flashing green in unison. The BMS box red/green LED is just solid green, and the individual HV2600 red/green LEDs are just flashing 1s on green, no red, which doesn't seem to even match to an error in the manual.
Otherwise the system claims it is working normally with no faults in the inverter.
I've checked the wiring in the compartments I can access without breaking the "warranty void" seal, but everything seems to be connected properly.
I've contacted the original installer but they're faffing around a bit and tbh I'm not making much progress with them.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Hi all,

in a similar situation I found out that you need to have the ChargingTime all 4 parameters exactly down to zero. Even if the functionality is disabled. See the screenshot with the warning on top. This is how I fixed my battery not discharging.

Hope it helps other user.

ps: It can also be done directly in the inverter.

Hi

No I've still not got to the bottom of it. The firmware has just been updated (I'm not sure how) but doesn't seem to have helped.
And my charging times are already set to 00:00 unfortunately, tried that before! But thanks.

The only thing that I've found that seems odd is there doesn't seem to be any meter or CT clamp on the system. I'm not sure if this is necessary for the battery function to work properly or not? I have to set "meter" to disable to work at all. The foxcloud app accordingly doesn't show load or anything. Does anyone know?

You really need a meter or clamp for a hybrid system like this to work properly. Definitely something you want to get seen to! It's possible that a clamp was installed but the connection to the inverter has failed, since the wires typically used are quite thin and fragile. You want to consult your user's manual to find where the meter connection is and see if there is a cable running to it.

I have eventually fixed the problem which was simply there was no CT meter connected. In retrospect it was obvious. But when you've inherited a 2 year old system supposedly installed by a professional company and in working condition, I frankly cannot believe such a basic step had been missed and the system had in fact never properly worked!
