I am looking at getting my solar panels (on top of 2 storey house) cleaned, but wondered what should I turn off.
They will be cleaned using one of the very long handle brushes .... but would I just need to turn off the DC isolator switch to make them "safe"
I didn't know you should do that. My window cleaner cleans the panels, but we don't know when he will turn up.
What are the risks with the panels....they are inset into the roof of the garage?

Thanks for the info .. .I am presuming that, with the AV isolator still switched on, the battery will still feed the house whilst the panels are isolated?
With the AC isolator on, the battery should power the house, you can verify this with App.
Do they use just water to clean them?Northspoon wrote: ↑Thu May 07, 2026 10:53 am I didn't know you should do that. My window cleaner cleans the panels, but we don't know when he will turn up.

In theory they could get zapped if there is a break in the wires, the panels themselves pose no risk I can think of.Northspoon wrote: ↑Thu May 07, 2026 10:53 am I didn't know you should do that. My window cleaner cleans the panels, but we don't know when he will turn up.
