I am having a KH7 installed in the next few weeks. As well as using the Fox app to monitor it, I am also planning to monitor and control it from Home Assistant using a Waveshare RS485 device.
My question is: what are my options for connecting the inverter to the internet? For example, if I have a powerline ethernet adapter nearby can I connect the inverter directly to it using the LAN port on the inverter? Will this provide all of the connectivity that it needs, without having to rely on the (sometimes flaky) wifi?
There is not a 'LAN' port on the Inverter for Internet, but there is a USB port that you can connect an adaptor to.
The adaptor can be WiFi / LAN / 4G
A list of adaptors can be found here

I got this from the Fox ESS KH series manual - is this diagram incorrect?

I think there might be different SKU versions, and some might have a LAN port, and others just the USB port that you feed a dongle in?
I have KH7, but don't recall seeing LAN port with mine, I can physically check should you wish.
I do have a WiFi dongle in the USB port, and it's wired up for home assistant.

I'd be grateful if you could confirm whether the terminals on your KH7 match those from the diagram
