Hi all,
I have a FoxESS H1-6.0-E-G2 inverter, W6 dongle, ECS2800 batteries and an A7300P1-E-2-WO wallbox.
I installed an Elfin EW11 on inverter RS485 pins 3/4 for Home Assistant using foxess_modbus. The Elfin works fine and HA reads the inverter correctly.
But when the Elfin is powered on, the wallbox shows an external meter / RS485 communication fault and the EV does not charge. If I power off the Elfin, charging works normally again.
So it seems I can have HA monitoring or wallbox charging, but not both.
Has anyone had the same issue or found a solution?
Thanks.

Hi Will,
The wallbox and inverter are integrated with RS485 connection following the scheme on the image.
Thanks.

ah, i don't think you can have two rs485 clients on one connector. You will want to setup a daisy chain and give each modbus client a unique id

A daisy chain like the one on this image?

When you say each to give each modbus client a unique id, is the wallbox something i can give a unique id? also havent found a way of setting a unique id to the elfin w11 modbus.
By the way on the image you can see on point 5 what foxess support stated regarding connecting wallbox and modbus on RS485 3 and 4 ports in parallel: "We have a mature external protocol that can be provided to, and the 3 and 4 ports are external 485 interfaces that you can connect to in parallel with the charger is ok."
Thanks Will
